INSANE Car Builds! Episode 113. This episode is something very very special indeed. When I stumbled across David’s build the other day I was genuinely stunned. Firstly to why I haven’t seen this yet and secondly to how special this build is. Covering over 110 of the worlds best builds this is comfortably in the top 3. Enough praising David and let’s get into the details. 3 years, dedication and help from many people around the world has brought us this incredible creation. A world’s first ā€œroad legalā€ boosted 5 rotor dubbed the MF5 Superlite. It’s a street legal Le Mans inspired race car paying homage to the group C prototypes and also the Mazda 787. Using the SLC Superlite chassis David has build nothing short of a monster here, a custom billet turbo peripheral ported 5 rotor mid mounted and paired to a hollinger six speed sequential capable of making 1500whp. The custom tube frame chassis and carbon fibreglass body mean weight is just over 1000kg. Direct water port injection protects the engine from knock and allows them to run a less rich fuel mix. Other mods include a dry sump, double wishbone suspension, brembo big brake kit and some ridiculous aero. This is just the surface so check out David’s channels to see this build in more detail. The final point to make is the sound from the 5 rotor that has been engineered with a stunning intake and manifold to sound like an old F1 V10. A 5 rotor produces the same firing frequency at 6k rpm as each bank of a 12k rpm even fire V10 F1 engine. Anyway let us know what up think of this crazy build and how do we think it sounds?
