Like many people across our community, feeling the growing concerns about illegal and overpowered e-bikes on our local streets.

In February, the Minns Labor Government promised a crackdown.
But six months later, the only bike crushed was at the Government’s announcement of a crackdown. 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐞-𝐛𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝.

The legislation passed in May allowing police to seize and destroy these illegal e-bikes has still not come into force.

There is also currently just one portable testing unit available across NSW to check whether e-bikes comply with legal power and speed limits.

Our community deserves more than announcements. We need rules that can actually be enforced and practical tools that allow police to identify riders who do the wrong thing.

That’s why the NSW Liberals and Nationals have proposed identification plates for young riders and commercial e-bike operators, helping police enforce the rules, change behaviour and prevent crashes.

Under state and federal Labor, property values and housing supply are falling, hurting homeowners and renters while also blowing another hole in the NSW Budget.

Everyone deserves feel safe when they're catching public transport, shopping or attending major events.

That's why the NSW Liberals and Nationals are proposing a simple, commonsense change to give police the power to use handheld knife-scanning wands anywhere, at any time, where they reasonably believe there's a public safety risk.

Right now, police are tied up by unnecessary bureaucracy.
That limits where and when these powers can be used.

Our proposal removes those barriers while keeping the existing safeguards in place.

Knife crime can happen anywhere, anytime.

Our police deserve the flexibility to respond wherever the risk emerges, to help keep our communities safe.

AI should support our frontline workers, not replace them.

That’s why the NSW Liberals and Nationals have a plan to embrace AI while protecting the frontline workers our communities rely on.

We'll guarantee that nurses, police officers, paramedics and teachers won't lose their jobs to artificial intelligence.

At the same time, we'll use AI to reduce bureaucracy and improve government services to get you better value for your taxpayer dollars.

Our plan is about using technology to support people, not replace them.
