Thank you to our supporters who attended our Inaugural Annual Reset the Dial Gala Evening last night! I have so much joy and gratitude for our donors, volunteers, staff, partners, ambassadors, political advocates, and fellow DV service providers. Together, you are helping us change lives.
Special thanks to Aunty Julie and the Dhinawan Yarn children’s Dance Group for reminding us of the gratitude we owe to this beautiful land, our elders past, present and emerging — and the importance of finding joy in the moments of play. Thank you to Nova Bossa and Jelly Bean Jam for setting the vibe to dance the night away.
A heartfelt thank you also to our joint MCs: Juanita Phillips and Jacinta Tynan, who brought warmth and professionalism to the evening, and to our Deanne Bennett, whose tireless work made this event possible and to Oneill Photographics for capturing the moments!
I also want to thank the leaders whose advocacy amplifies our work: MPs Jacqui Scruby, Michael Regan, Dr Sophie Scamps, Zali Steggall, Mayor Sue Heins, Former Deputy Mayor Ruth Robins, Cr Jody Williams and Cr Vincent De Luca.
So much of the world is fighting. War is rife – and war at home has reached a national crisis level. Violence is an outward expression of unmet needs: fear, isolation, neglect, racism, and judgment. If we do not repair, we will repeat.
At the Women’s Resilience Centre, we support the Missing Majority - many women who suffer domestic abuse, but never access formal support.
We have supported 510 women in 173 regions across Australia, and this year we are on track to support 750 women in over 200 regions, thanks to our Country Community visits – reaching isolated communities where women are 24% more likely to experience domestic violence.
Our trauma-informed programs – from Employment Readiness to Financial Resilience and Mentoring – give women a safe, supported pathway to rebuild their lives.
Last night we raised some much-needed funds — which is vital as we receive less than 1% Government funding.
Joy is not a luxury – it’s a basic human right.
With your support, we can help more women find joy, confidence, and community in their pathway of recovery.
We welcome all to get to know us and be a part of the Women's Resilience Centre charter to reset and rebuild lives.

Some official big news today, a positive future for my recruitment company that I have led for 27 years. I am excited to share our next chapter Mondo Search merges with Cult of Monday today.
I pinch myself… I’ve found a partner, Lauren Pearson, who is values-aligned, with a global team delivering strengths-based, innovative people solutions. I am excited, I will work for them running their community well-being facilitation sessions. This aligns well with the work that I do at The Women's Resilience Centre.
Even more special — my longest-serving colleague, Carmela Altadonna, Head of Exec Research, for 20+ years is excited to be part of this next adventure. Cult of Monday believes that we really must love what we do and love getting out of bed on a Monday. We are grateful that we still love what we do! Thanks to all our clients of Mondo Search. Grateful!

Time to celebrate the power of joy and the good things that we have in this country. Too much doom and gloom right now. We live in one of the best places in the world and we need to take action to reduce the impacts of domestic abuse.
PLEASE JOIN US AT THE CIRQUE DU JOY GALA BALL DURING VIVID SYDNEY ON FRIDAY 30 MAY. A NIGHT NOT TO BE MISSED.
A night not to be missed. A Gala Evening celebrating joy. An action evening. A band that entices dancing, a host committee of comedians, athletes, and high-profile media celebrities rallying our cause. Enjoy a Ferris wheel ride and see the Vivid Sydney lights. Tons of amazing gala prizes to bid on and good people to meet. Attire: wear something that gives you joy!
Why Cirque Du Joy? Joy is an emotion and a state of mind that helps people find fulfillment, resilience and contentment. When we experience joy, our social bonds are strengthened. Hear short stories of resilience from The Women's Resilience Centre and actions that we are taking to improve the lives of women and their families who have suffered domestic abuse.
I would be grateful if you share this with your community. Book an early bird table at $2950 or $295 per ticket. Ticket prices go up to $355 per ticket and $3500 for a table of 10 after 28 April.
We would really value your support to take action to help reduce the impact of domestic abuse in this land.
