Using recording to produce better performance
As this mighty year comes to a close I wanted to share a little bit of one of my favourite performances from a video we have worked on in 2021 - the very wonderful Rod Mason, conducting the BPPS performance band. Rod was saying he was inspired by John Cleese for his performance. I am inspired by him. Especially his line "COVID defying superheroes" which he delivers so powerfully. I find this line echo in my mind quite often as I watch the news these days and think about 2022.
Anyway - I hope you enjoy his performance as much as I do.

We would love you to join us today at 4pm as we celebrate the wonderful Virtual Performances created during lockdown by conductors and their ensembles.
Today marks the end of a 6 month journey and while we all hope we never have to do that again, I believe it's well worth celebrating the great achievements of conductors and students through the most challenging of times.

The raw sound for Virtual Performances can be very hit and miss. We are hosting a workshop focusing on Audio Editing and Mixing to take your sound from good to great! Join us this Wednesday 27th Oct from 8-9pm
We will use Logic Pro for Apple MacOS to; Import and align tracks; Create a foundation mix with pan, eq and reverb and use FlexTime and FlexPitch to adjust timing and tuning.
