The Senate has passed the NDIS Bill 2026 (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) with amendments. The Bill will now return to the House of Representatives for consideration and is not yet law.

We understand this news may bring concern and uncertainty for many people with disability, their families, and support networks. For now, there are no immediate changes to current NDIS plans or supports.

If you receive Supported Independent Living (SIL) supports, you may want to check whether your provider has registered or applied to register. You can ask your provider directly or look them up on the NDIS Commission provider register.

Many providers are already working through the registration process, but understanding these changes now can help reduce the risk of disruptions to your supports.
