What a significant Sunday. ❤️

We had the privilege of welcoming Compassion International and Destiny Rescue into our service and hearing firsthand about the incredible work they are doing across the globe. To present both organisations with a $20,000 cheque and hear exactly what those funds will do — the lives they will touch, the children they will reach — was a moment we won’t forget.

And then to sit and listen to one of Destiny Rescue’s field agents share their stories from the front lines — powerful doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Weekends like this have a way of shifting our perspective. They remind us of how deeply blessed we are, and how much of a privilege it is to be a church that gets to be part of something so much bigger than ourselves.

We are so grateful. 🙏

We are welcoming Compassion and Destiny Rescue into our service for a significant morning — hearing powerful stories from the front lines of what these organisations are doing and presenting our annual $20,000 donation to each of them.

Both of these organisations are dear to our hearts as a church. The work they do; caring for vulnerable children, rescuing the exploited, and bringing hope to the hopeless — is work we are deeply proud to support.

As we gather this morning for our Heart for the House offering, we want to remind you of two things Pastor Shane has carried throughout this series.

“It’s not about equal giving. It’s about equal sacrifice.”

“We are not building for today. We are building a house for the generations.”

Whatever you bring today — whether it’s a gift or a pledge — bring it with a heart that has already surrendered. God sees every act of faith, no matter the size.

We are desperate for a move of God. We have members of our church family facing significant diagnoses right now, and we are standing together in faith, believing for the healing power of Jesus to move over their lives.

We have seen testimony after testimony over these past weeks of what God can do. We believe He will do it again.

If you are able to fast and pray this Wednesday, join us. Let’s carry the stretchers together. 🙏

And if you are the one believing for a miracle right now — we stand with you. You are not alone. We are bringing you to Jesus. ❤️

This photo is a reminder of what faith looks like before it becomes something you can touch. Over 25 years ago our church stood on this ground and believed God for what is now Shellharbour Community Church.

This Sunday we gather for Heart for the House — honouring everything that has been poured into this place and stepping up to build for the generations still to come.

God was faithful then. He is faithful now. 🙏

Happy Pentecost Sunday. 🔥

On Pentecost we remember the birthday of the church — the moment the Holy Spirit fell on the early disciples and everything changed. We believe He is still being poured out today.

Today the Holy Spirit showed up in our midst and reminded us of what the church was always meant to be — alive, on fire, and filled with His presence.

What an absolute day.

We are carrying in prayer every person who needs a touch of heaven right now. Especially those believing for healing. God is not done. He is on the move. 🙏

Standing on legacy. Building for the future. ❤️

As we prepare for our upcoming Heart for the House offering, we want to take a moment to acknowledge where we've come from.

This year marks 40 years of Shellharbour Community Church - four decades of prayer, sacrifice, vision, and faithfulness. Of people who gave their time, their resources, and their hearts to build something that would outlast them - not for themselves, but for the generations to come.

Our building first opened its doors in April 2003, and for over 23 years it has been more than a place of worship. It has been a hub for this community - a place where lives have been changed, where the broken have found hope, and where the faithfulness of God has been declared Sunday after Sunday.

We stand on the shoulders of those who went before us. We honour them. And with that legacy beneath our feet, we build into the future.

God has been faithful across every one of those 40 years. And it is His faithfulness we build on. 🙏

Our heart is for His house. ❤️

As we step into our Heart for the House offering, we want to share what’s behind it.

This isn’t just about a building. It never has been.

Shellharbour Community Church is a hub for this community — a place where people find Jesus, where lives are changed, where the broken are restored and the lost find home. It is a declaration, standing in this city, of the faithfulness of God.

And we believe the best days of this church are still ahead.

When we give to the house, we are sowing into something that will outlast us. We are building for the children who haven’t walked through our doors yet. For the generations who will be shaped by what happens within these walls. For the city of Shellharbour long after we are gone.

This is legacy giving. This is faith in action. This is saying — we believe in what God is doing here, and we want to be part of writing that story. 🙏
