Partner training with Secret Harbour Surf Life Saving Club, Port Bouvard SLSC and Mandurah Surf Life Saving Club

Our Search and Rescue area includes Naval Waters around Garden Island, which has many bomboras and navigational hazards. Today we partnered with Secret Harbour Surf Life Saving Club, Port Bouvard SLSC and Mandurah Surf Life Saving Club to practice inshore reef operations. A great day with volunteers collaborating to keep our community safe.

Sam volunteers as Senior Crew and Radio Operator, is training as a Rescue Skipper and in her second term as Commander Marine Rescue Rockingham.

With boaties sensibly alongside today, a thanks to our Radio Operators who maintained safety overwatch.

Another successful collaboration with volunteers at WA Wildlife and Western Australian Seabird Rescue with the release of an Albatross and Giant Southern Petrel back to the wild.
