It's fair to say that the new balustrade makes the balcony a whole lot more safe than the old one.
Along with new composite decking boards it's a welcome improvement for the owner.

It's an old house with wonky walls but now it's been insulated, covered in building wrap and fitted with new windows and weatherboards. Once it's painted it'll be ready for many more comfortable years

Just because there's not enough room inside for a laundry doesn't mean it has to be an uninspiring one in the garage

First we give it a good deck clean.
Then apply good deck oil.

We do hundreds of metres of weatherboards every year but this is our first experience with Block Face. To make things more complicated some had been previously replaced but didn't match the original size, and these replacements were slightly different again. We've managed to match them as best as possible.

It's a really nice mantelpiece in the right house, but if you don't know how to fit it, it can't take pride of place

The Dilemma: You've moved into your new house but you don't like the look of the front fence. It's structurally sound but building a new one is prohibitively expensive. The Solution: Modify it

The dilemma: You've got kids with too much energy, and you've just acquired a basketball hoop, but there's really no space for it to be used safely in the backyard, however there's a laneway at the back.
The solution: Fit a solid timber beam above the roller door, and attach the hoop to it.
The result: Happiness

This used to be a shed like any other shed. But when you install a new pool beside it, it has to be more than a shed. We fitted the new window and sliding doors, then lined it with these beautiful shiplap boards, beginning its transformation from shed to pool-cool.

Are you sick of looking at your a/c unit. Cath was. So she asked us to cover hers up and make it useful. And this is what we came up with. And of course it's removable if access is required.

New paving and if you look really close, a new automatic sprinkling system completed this week

This built-in BBQ has turned out a treat. Once the owner has the benchtop tiled, it should look even better.
