I'm currently creating content for Year 12 Specialist Maths.

Something I have always resisted as (I thought) so few students did the course. When I said this recently to a student, they argued effectively that a resource, like this on www.maffsguru.com would be exactly what she needed as there was so few things out there to help.

So, I'm adding more videos; which will go live this week. Three of which are shown in the image.

I'd genuinely forgotten how much I love the Specialist Maths course and recording this has been exciting (and challenging!).

The whole Methods and General courses are already there and I hope to complete the Specialist course around the middle of the year.

This has to be the most asked questions of my entire career (both in the classroom and via www.maffsguru.com). So, I thought I'd create a video with my views. If there were the "perfect" summary book, I would have created it by now (LOL) and so I hope these thoughts give students a pause for thought. It also contains the current (2025) advice from VCAA about what should and should not be in a summary book!

Students really can be our harshest critics and I (generally) welcome that criticism. So long as it's structured and not personal, I do all I can to accept and change. I think it's important we all do.

I am always blown away by the sheer volume of positive feedback I get on my YouTube channel about the Maths content I create. This is just one example. I am do deeply grateful and humbled that someone has taken the time to write something so empowering. And this isn't unique. Boys, in particular, seem very happy to say that the content I am creating is helping them succeed.

I'm not trying to sell myself as the best teacher in the world. I just create videos that aim to help as many students (and teachers) as I can. I want to make Mathematics accessible.

If just one video helps just one student I'm really happy.
