PPS is a boutique Clinical Psychology Practice with sites in North Perth and Falcon.

PPS has vacancies for our next Clinical team member in full or part time capacity. Working as part of our team includes client variety, excellent Clinical and Administration support, regular peer and mentoring meetings and relaxing social gatherings. Opportunities are available to expand skill sets with regular training. The successful applicant will have access to an existing diverse case load. Free parking at both sites and North Perth in close proximity to the best Cafes.

Our client base includes numerous Govt Contracts, Schools, MHCP’s, NDIS, Workers Compensation and ASD Assessments.

Remuneration:

Perth Psychological Services offers:

Ongoing provision of referrals.
Electronic practice management diary that is accessible from anywhere to help you keep track of your appointments.
Administration support that includes intake and management of all appointments, reception services, invoicing & account facilities, and support in completing Medicare reporting requirements.
Regular Group Clinical Psychology Supervision provided by the Directors and Clinical Manager all of whom are endorsed as clinical supervisors by the AHPRA’s Psychology Registration Board.
Individual Supervision for Registrars
Flexible hours.
Access to a range of client resources and a large clinical library.
Access to a broad range of psychometric tests & if applicable synchronised iPads for ease of testing.

Essential criteria:

Current registration with AHPRA as an endorsed Clinical Psychologist or eligibility for registration as a Clinical Psychology Registrar with AHPRA.
Eligibility to provide psychology services under Medicare
Risk assessment skills.
Experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of adults, children, and adolescents with a range of psychological issues
Experience in working with diverse cultural groups.
ABN (Australian Business Number).
Professional Indemnity Insurance from a provider approved by AHPRA.
Police Clearance.
Working with Children Card.
Drivers Licence and Motor Vehicle insurance.

Desirable criteria:

Competence in diagnosis using DSM-V criteria and willingness to undertake additional in-house training in neurodevelopmental disorder diagnosis including ASD, FASD, ADHD, Learning Disorders and Trauma.
Experience in working with parents and families.
Knowledge of Disability in children and adults
Excellent written skills including report writing
Excellent communication skills

Debbie is a Clinical Psychologist Registrar who has a vast array of experience working with a diverse range of Psychological issues. Working in private practice, not-for profit organisations and Community Health has given Debbie a unique insight and skill set to help clients achieve their Mental Health goals.

Areas of interest: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Parenting skills/child behaviours, Phobias, Obsessive compulsive disorder, Emotion regulation, Grief and loss.
Debbie has recently published a research article on 'Self-Compassion', a kinder way of self-relating.

Our PPS team are constantly upskilling and keeping abreast of new advancements in therapy.
Four of our experienced team of Clinical Psychologists attended a two day "Enhanced CBT for Eating Disorders" course.

Psychological treatment for Eating disorders is now covered by Medicare on a treatment and management plan (up to 40 Psychological services in twelve months).

COVID-19 update. Medicare have announced that people directly affected by COVID-19 may be eligible for specialist psychological services. If you have been diagnosed, are in isolation or in one of the high risk groups, call our office to make an appointment 😊

Update:
This initiative allows people who are unable to access face to face psychological services to be supported in their home by phone or video conference. The best part it, it's bulk billed.
This service is available to the following people:
* People who are isolated in their home under the advice of their medical practitioner
* people who meet the testing guidelines for COVID-19;
* people aged over 70;
* Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged over 50;
* people with chronic health conditions or who are immunocompromised;
* parents with new babies and people who are pregnant
