“Why does my child experience the world this way?”
It’s one of the questions we hear most from parents of autistic children. And it’s such an important one, because when you truly understand what’s driving your child’s experience, everything shifts: the hard moments make more sense, support feels more natural, and connection deepens.
On 19 September, internationally respected autism educator Dr Peter Vermeulen is coming to Perth for a half-day workshop designed for parents and carers who want to understand their child more fully.
Understanding Autistic Thinking: See the World Through Your Child’s Eyes
You’ll learn:
• How the autistic brain perceives and processes the world
• The 10 core needs behind safety, calm, and connection
• Why some approaches don’t fit your child’s experience — and what genuinely supports them
• Practical, neuroaffirming strategies for home
📍 Aquinas College | 🗓 19 September | ⏰ 9am–1pm | 🎫 $50

We're halfway through the year, and if those goals you set in January feel a little off track, you're not alone.

The good news? You don't need to wait for a new year, a new month, or the perfect moment to reset. A mid-year reset is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and realign with what matters most to you.

Our latest blog explores simple ways to create space, reconnect with your priorities, and move into the second half of the year with greater intention and clarity.

Vicarious trauma can affect many helping professionals and first responders through ongoing exposure to the distress of others. It is not weakness, but a nervous system response to prolonged emotional load.

Signs can include irritability, emotional numbness, intrusive thoughts, sleep difficulties and feeling detached.

Support, supervision, healthy boundaries and professional help can make a difference.

At Prosper Health Collective, we recognise the emotional impact carried by those in caring and emergency response roles and are here to support.
