✨ Christmas-Themed Autism-Friendly Playgroup ✨

We’re wrapping up the year with two festive playgroup sessions for children diagnosed with autism or showing early signs.

Join us on:
📅 Thursday 11th December
📅 Thursday 18th December — our final playgroup for the year
⏰ 9:30am – 11:00am
📍 1 Seagrove Blvd, Merriwa

Each session offers a supportive, sensory-friendly environment filled with Christmas-themed activities.

And best of all, it’s completely free for families.

🎉 That’s a wrap for the Run for Autism Challenge! 🏃‍♀️💙

Today marks the end of an incredible month for Team Gamut Go — and what an amazing effort it’s been! Together, our team has hit the pavement, clocked up the kilometres, and raised over $2,600 to support autism awareness and inclusion. 🌟

🧩 Did you know? Because the world is not always autism-friendly, 70% of autistic people in Australia experience mental health challenges. By running 70 km in October, we’ve helped to start positive change so that those on the autism spectrum feel more accepted, included, and understood.

A huge thank you to all our wonderful team members for their commitment, energy, and enthusiasm — and to everyone who has donated or cheered us on along the way. 🙏💛

🧺✨ Why do we present activities and toys in bags or containers in our ESDM classroom?

Because even before play begins, learning is already happening! 💡

Every part of the activity provides a learning opportunity. By presenting toys and materials in bags or containers, we:
💬 Create natural chances for children to use verbal or gestural communication to ask for help opening or accessing items
🖐️ Build fine motor skills as children attempt to open containers and take items out
🗣️ Model rich language as we describe and narrate the actions being used to open the containers
🎯 Maintain control over materials so play is purposeful, not overwhelming

The activity and fun haven’t even started yet—but look how much intentional learning and goal targeting we can create just through how we set up and prepare each experience! 🌟

🌟 We’re so excited to have our ESDM Early Intervention Classes and Playgroup back for Term 4! It’s been wonderful seeing our little learners return and welcoming some lovely new families too.

📅 Our Term 4 Programs:
• Mondays: ESDM Early Intervention Class – Merriwa
• Tuesdays: ESDM Early Intervention Class – Hilbert
• Thursdays: Autism Playgroup – 9:30am–11:00am
