sentially Archetypal. There are no bad cards in the Mythic. All cards have a light & dark side. Patterns, other than concrete ones are at work within us, and unless we have some understanding of the Psyche, the strange coincidences of the Tarot cards can seem frightening or disturbing. These connections between outer life and the Tarot are not 'magical' but because there is a shared meaning. This is what we mean by Birth, Death & Puberty being inner as well as outer experiences. We meet these experiences time and time again on different levels at different times in life, and thus there is a tarot card that will describe each of them, and will somehow mysteriously appear, apparently without 'cause' in a spread of cards at the moment when we are inwardly experiencing such an archetypal event. The way the Tarot works in a 'predictive' sense is as a kind of mirror to the Psyche.
