Day 9 of becoming the fastest Brits to run across Australia.

On today's run Josh put his new sunglasses to the test on the tarmac, some good samaratin helped us stay hydrated in the heat and Jack shares some questionable jokes. Spirits are high and the distance to Sydney is getting lower.

We promised British history and that's what we'll deliver.

We had to scrap the 4x4 and sell our caravan, pull together everything we have left. We're not coming home empty handed.

95 Marathons.

60 Days

starts Sunday 6th October.

Day 6 of becoming the first Brits to run the entire perimeter of Australia - the dog is back 💪

Project Perimeter continues, we had a great run today, feeling good - amazing what a run can do to your mood!
We are proud of where we are, fighting through some of the worst bad luck... but unfortunately there's been more, stay tuned to find out why we finished the day pushing a car up the hill 🫢

On to the next, see you tomorrow 🫡

Day 5 of becoming the first Brits to run the entire perimeter of Australia - easy does it.

Happy to be back to it today, started out buzzing to be back on the road and continue our progress. With illness, car problems and forest fires, we’ve been itching to make some more progress with the project, but decided that safety has to be our priority - so with that in mind, and still getting over illnesses, we stuck to a solid 20km today.

On to the next, see you tomorrow 🫡

We are lucky enough to have a supportive team both here and back home that make this project 10x more manageable. We know we couldn’t have done this alone particularly with all our bad luck recently, and it’s the same with mental health, suffering in silence is never the solution. Your life, your experience, your thoughts and feelings are valuable, and for every death through su***de there is a hole left in the world, you are missed by those who love you now and those you would have loved you in the future.

Anyone reading this right now who feels they can’t go on, please stay. Stay for the neighbour who smiles when you wave in the morning, for the dog who wants to say hello on your walk to work, for the friends who think of you when they hear your favourite song, for the family who’s life you changed. Stay for anything, until you can stay for yourself. You never know what the future might hold, be curious and stick around to find out.

Please today, and everyday, take those extra few minutes to check on the people you love, and the people you don’t! Be kind, you never know the impact it might have. Let’s open up the conversation, the more we talk about it, the less scary it is.

If you, or someone you know, needs support here are some places to reach out to:
NHS: 111 (24/7)
CALM: 0800 58 58 58 (5pm-12am)
Lifeline Australia: 13 11 14 (24/7)
Text SHOUT to 85258 if you’d rather not talk over the phone

Our dms are always open!
Big love,
The Project Perimeter Team

Day 3 of becoming the first Brits to run the entire perimeter of Australia - our first overnight run.
In an attempt to combat the heat, we decided tonight's run would start at 10pm which on one hand would be cooler, but on the other hand would be very dark.
Physically tonight was easier, but mentally? Running in the dark for hours on end is hard. Hopefully, we will find ourselves a nice routine that works for us soon!
Happy to get another solid 30 miles down and ready to take on the next.
We are already bored of super noodles, any snack recommendations? Drop them in the comments
On to the next, see you tomorrow 🫡

Day 2 of attempting to become the first Brits to run the perimeter of Australia - it was a hot one, and not in a sexy way 😔

After waking up relatively pain free, we felt good heading into day two, ready to rack up some of those miles - unfortunately we love our support team too much, and spending some extra time with them led to us hitting the midday heat during our run, and that was tough.

But we powered through, clocking up a solid 35 miles including a much needed cool down. Definitely a few learning curves and many more to come, but the amazing support we’ve seen from our community keeps us positive (thanks guys 🤭)

Another pool for todays recovery was a godsend and we are getting fuelled up and ready to go again 💪

On to the next, see you tomorrow 🫡

Day 1 of running the entire perimeter of Australia - completed it mate 😏

We got off to a good start today, everyone showing their support on the live as we started off really helped give us that extra little bit of motivation.

Feeling good on our feet and up for the challenge we hit the ground at a steady pace today, taking advantage of having our support team meet us for those little morale boosts during our breaks.

Our biggest challenge? The heat. It is intense. Like yeah Australia is hot, but this was a new level. The air felt too thick to breath and the sweat was a lot (it might be time for Jack to debut his headband 🙂), but we took on the challenge and managed to complete over a marathon today.

We took recovery seriously so we can wake up tomorrow as fresh as possible - these first few days will be full of learning curves but we are feeling good, and determined to become the first Brits to run the perimeter of Australia.

On to the next, see you tomorrow 🫡
