One from the heart tonight. Things I wish I knew before I became a mum (in no particular order) because sometimes I lay awake at night thinking how I didn’t really know these things before my baby was born.

And with each baby I learnt more. I stood my ground and I took what resonated with me and left everything else behind.

The real people showed up, and everyone else disappeared. The ones who said they’ll be there and never were.

Not every moment is enjoyed, and that’s okay - parenting is f*cking hard, exhausting and relentless while simultaneously the best thing you’ve ever done.

I talk about fresh 48 sessions all the time, but it occurred to me that you might not actually know what that is.

So here’s a little run down, because ultimately it’s the most precious chapter in the beginning of motherhood.

The one where you first meet, learn to feed, soak in all the cuddles and admire your new baby while thinking “it was you all along”

You think you’ll remember all of this, but it’s these memories that quietly slip away without warning.
