We're delighted to partner this year with Methodist Ladies' College Friends of Music, who will be running a fundraising food and drinks stall at !
You won't have to go far for food this year. A coffee van will be on-site from 9 to 11am, while the Friends of Music stall itself will be open from 10am until 8pm. Get yourself a bite to eat this Saturday and support a great school music program at the same time!

Just 3 days remain until ! Here's your reminder about parking at MLC ๐
IT'S ALMOST TIME! In less than 48 hours, quartets and choruses will begin crossing the stage at the 2025 Western Region Festival.
๐ PARKING ๐
Parking is limited at MLC! There will be about 210 bays in total made available to attendees at Western Region. The number of bays in each area (see image) are:
1๏ธโฃ 39 bays
2๏ธโฃ 120 to 130 bays
3๏ธโฃ 58 bays
Please consider other transportation options if you are able, e.g. public transport, carpooling, Uber, etc. For example, MLC is just a 15-minute walk away from Claremont train station! In any event, please plan accordingly.

On Sunday 14 June, we're trying something a little different! Join us at Shenton Park Community Centre for Coaching Day, featuring live masterclasses from our judges as they work with Zigzag Quartet, Hive Mind Quartet and Boulevard Harmony to bring their performances to the next level.

The 2026 Western Region Schools Massed Choir will be directed by ๐๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐น!
Adrian has been a member of Barbershop Harmony Australia since 1997. He is a four-time BHA national quartet gold medallist as has represented Australia in six Barbershop Harmony Society International contests with both quartet and choruses. He also served as a certified AGBJ Presentation Judge for ten years from the guild's founding in 2004. Adrian is based in Perth and has been Musical Director of Indian Blue Chorus since June 2023.

Paul Adams joined BHA in late 2012 after being spotted at a karaoke bar and invited to a rehearsal. He quickly became active at a club level and was seconded to the BHA National Council in 2015 where he has served ever since. He is the President of Deep South Chorus and is a seniorโs silver medallist in both menโs and mixed quartets. He certified as an Administrative Judge with the Australasian Guild of Barbershop Judges in 2023.
Paulโs passion is supporting peopleโs growth and the promoting the difference that singing can make to human lived experience. Paul lives in southern Tasmania.
๐WHAT IS THE ADMINISTRATIVE CATEGORY?๐
The Administrative Judge is responsible for the orderly management and operation of barbershop contests that take place under the Contest Rules. They are responsible for ensuring the best possible environment for contestants to perform, for judges to adjudicate the performances, and for audiences to enjoy the performances.

This year's Performance Judge is none other than Gold Coast's own Geordie Cullen!
Geordie is a Gold Coast-based vocalist with over 10 yearsโ experience in the barbershop craft. He brings a strong blend of performance, conducting, and coaching expertise to help ensembles make magic. Geordie built his theatrical foundation from studies in dramaturgy and voice acting. He is deeply motivated by a desire to give back to the barbershop community that shaped his own journeyโa journey which led him to conduct at the 2025 European Choir Games in Denmark.
๐WHAT IS THE PERFORMANCE CATEGORY?๐
The Performance judge evaluates the degree to which a performance creates an entertaining and engaging experience for their audience. Believability, creativity and authenticity are watchwords for judges of this category.
