DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENTS REQUIRE DIFFERENT TOOLS.
It is self-evident that when you go sky diving you will require different equipment to when you go deep-sea diving or even snorkeling. To ensure that you are successful in your activity you also need to be able read the conditions within that environment.
We are living in a world where we interact with people from every language, tribe and nationality, which requires you to be able to read the 'conditions' and have more than one communications tool in your toolkit.
If you are working for a community-services organisation, serve on a board or volunteer for a not-for-profit in Western Australia, join us for one of our next See Me See You cultural responsiveness training sessions:
4 September, In-person
19 September, Virtual

CULTURAL RESPONSIVENESS IS AN ESSENTIAL SKILL.
With half of all Australians born overseas or with at least one parent who was born overseas, it is no longer optional to do cultural responsiveness training. It is essential if you want to be able to communicate vital information to your clients and really hear what they have to say as well.
The good news is that we still have a few spots open at our forthcoming trainings. Get your tickets on Humanitix https://events.humanitix.com/host/multicultural-futures
Our next sessions are:

Encounter Launches ThisGen Fellowship: Transforming Opportunities for WA's Early-Career Producers and Directors!
Encounter has partnered with WhyNot Theatre (Canada) to bring ThisGen to Western Australia; a first of its kind opportunity for WA-based producers and directors to propel their careers to the next stage. This program will facilitate Cultural and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD), and First Nations and Torres Strait Islander artists to undertake an immersive program of paid training, hands-on residencies, labs, and peer-to-peer connection, under the mentorship of industry leading producers and directors.
Applicants may apply to participate in either the Directing Stream or Producing Stream. Three applicants will be selected from each stream for a total cohort of six fellows. Each fellow will receive a fee of $5,000 AUD for their participation in the program.
If you have any questions about the program or the application process, email [email protected].

Honour and respect are core values at Multicultural Futures. This NAIDOC week, we would like to once again, pay our respects to the Wadjuk People of the Noongar Nation, the traditional custodians of the land upon which we work, live and dream. We honour and respect Elders past and present for their wisdom, and celebrate their enduring knowledge and connections to country.
