Good Afternoon folks,

With just 2 days left of our run4blue event, we just want to send a quick message to say thank you to all of our supporters.

Congratulations to NSW who have out done themselves and have taken out the most registrations for another year.

A shout out also to 2 of our youngest fund raisers here in Victoria.

Fletcher 10 years of age raising over $2,815 and Connor 9 years of age raising over $2,164

Well done - you are both champions and everyone else that has joined in.

Nat and I will share with you all the states and figures at the end of the month.

Thank you everyone.

Here is one of our fantastic South Australian families supporting Run4Blue for many years now. It’s great seeing the kids signing up each year and getting involved πŸ’™

We first signed up in 2020, only Mel and I joined but after finishing that year we thought why not include the kids. They were a little jealous of our medal! Since then we have all been involved and had a great time getting out there and clocking up the km’s. We support SA Policy Legacy.

As to the why, we know and appreciate the work that Legacy does supporting families through tough times and beyond. In my time in the job we’ve lost a few colleagues and I hope that in some way our small contribution to Legacy and the visibility Run4Blue brings to it, helps Legacy assist those families without their loved ones. Some of the walks as a family have given us good time to have discussions with the kids and give them an appreciation for Legacy and the work they do.

We have made a lot of great memories during the years. In 2022 we had to quarantine because of Covid which made things a bit hard. Our house isn’t huge so while we were stuck at home, we measured out a couple of tracks around the house. We did some maths to work out it was 72 laps of the hallway or 32 loops of the back yard for a km! We eventually got a treadmill to make it a bit easier.

Our walks have taken us all over Adelaide. A favourite we visit every year is the Gilberton swing bridge, an old fashioned suspension bridge over the River Torrens where we like to bounce like nitwits until it gets too much and we have to walk off the jelly legs!

When we started Run4Blue as a family our children were 5 and 7 years old. Now at 10 and 12 they have a better understanding of why they are completing the challenge

Good morning all,

Just me hanging out with Marilyn Monroe and telling her how amazing run4blue is going for its 8th year of raising awareness and valuable funds for our Police legacies around Australia.

Marilyn wishes us all the best for the rest of the month.

Registrations are still open and I really need our Victoria Police Legacy followers to sign up as I feel NSW Police Legacy is going to take the chocolates for another year

Wow wow wow NSW are shining very very brightly in the registrations department in 2026πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™ all the states have the total percentage of registrations on them in red. If you don’t want NSW taking home the chocolates in 2026 then get some or all of your friends to sign up - or maybe go get your whole parkrun to register if your not in the state of NSW!!!! You can register for this years event till the 31 May when the event ends.

Introducing one of our teams this year consisting of Mum, Dad and two kids πŸ™ŒπŸ’™ they are supporting NSW Police Legacy and below is their story of why they do Run 4 Blue πŸ’™

In the past years Isabella and William have participated in Run4Blue. Initially we thought it was a great idea to raise some money for such an important group of people.

The kids absolutely loved the reactions they got from their friends and supporters. People asking them for updates and so proud of the kilometers they had ran and swam.

This year we decided as a family we would all jump in. Who doesn’t love a bit of matching merch too. So we are all encouraging each other and hoping we can make a difference to the lives of others who need a reason to smile.
