š§” Say Their Names š§”
To mark the final day of the , we remember the women and children who never made it out. We honour their lives, and we fight in their memory. Because enough is enough.
Family and Domestic Violence is not an issue for 16 days alone. It is a crisis that demands our attention every single day.
As the 16 Days campaign comes to an end, our responsibility does not. We must keep speaking up, supporting survivors, and driving change in our communities.
The work doesnāt end here. It begins again tomorrow - and every day after.

"Why didnāt she just leave?"
Because she had no money.
Because she had no support.
Because she had no safe place to flee to.
Because she was scared.
Because her children were scared.
Because she knew leaving would be far more dangerous than staying.
Leaving isnāt easy. Judging is.

For too many women, the most dangerous place isnāt a dark alley. Itās their own home.
Love should never hurt.
If home isnāt safe, nowhere is.

Every day in Australia, women are hospitalised because of someone they loved.
Every week, a woman is murdered by a current or former partner.
This is not ājust how it is.ā This is a crisis.
Demand better. Demand action.

You hear laughter next door. Then silence. Then screaming. Then silence again. You wonder if you should call.
You should!
Family and domestic violence thrives in silence. Be the one who speaks up.

She didnāt ājust leaveā because she knew leaving could get her killed.
In WA, one woman is killed by an intimate partner every 8 days and FDV-related homicides are rising.
This is not a private issue. Itās a public emergency.
Silence is complicity. Action saves lives.

š§” Today marks the start of .
At 360 Street Doctor, we see the devastating impact of family and domestic violence every single day. Behind the statistics - more than 42,000 cases reported in WA last year, an 18% increase - are the real people we treat, support and stand beside.
Violence is not a private matter. Itās a public health crisis. Every day we witness the pain, but we also witness the strength of survivors.
š§”For the next 16 days, wear orange. Share the message. Stand with survivors. Itās time for us all to Play Our Part and put a stop to FDV.

About Street Doctor
Street Doctor has been in operation since 2001, providing comprehensive and accredited GP services on the streets of Perth for homeless, transient, disadvantaged and marginalised people around Northbridge, Perth CBD, Midland and Ashfield.
Each year Street Doctor provides free health care to over 3,000 patients, who would otherwise go without, or present to emergency departments.
We provide a mobile, approachable and easily accessible service in locations familiar to our clients for improved engagement. Our non-traditional medical service provides a clinic that supports and encourages people to attend to their health needs when they may not be willing or able to engage with mainstream health services. Our clientās lives can often be chaotic, and social factors impact on their ability to prioritise their own health needs.
Our service provides a holistic primary care model and we work closely with other community services to connect patients to health and social services that may be able to assist and support our clients to live a healthy life, including housing and employment.
