Welcome to our second clinic location in Vasse, Busselton.

We are thrilled to be able to establish more permanent and quality orthotic and prosthetic service capabilities for the South West region of WA.

We now have a second clinic location based in the shared working space at The Set in Vasse, Busselton.

Why do we love it? The car parking. The accessibility. We are located close to many of the great multidisciplinary professionals we work with in the area. We are becoming more of a part of the community. Everyone at The Set loves dogs! And the clinic is located within smelling distance of Margaret River Roasting Co for a great coffee 😊.

We are not there every day, so appointments are still coordinated through our administration team at the primary clinic in Perth. Ph: 08 9388 9779 or email [email protected]

Andrew experienced a spinal injury 3 years ago after coming off his mountain bike and has had to learn to walk again.

With his new device from Interface, it is the first time in 3 years that Andrew has walked without crutches, been able to stand up in a group and hold a drink while having a conversation and go to the shops and carry items by himself.

Andrew is using a C-Brace2 microprocessor knee unit from . We have made his custom device ourselves here, in Perth, with pre-preg carbon fiber, which has kept his KAFO , including the knee unit under 4kg. This is a huge breakthrough for us, being able to reduce the energy needed by our clients to mobilize independently.

Thankyou Andrew for being willing to share your story. The sizing up with your snow boots went well, so we're looking forward to seeing the adventures you can get up to now.

"0.5% of any population globally require prostheses and orthoses and rehabilitation treatment. This corresponds to 35–40 million people globally who require P&O services.

At least two to four times more people require services for orthotic treatment than for prosthetic treatment. Due to the global population increase and improved life expectancy those requiring P&O services will rise accordingly. As a larger proportion of the ageing population will be affected by disability, the need for services will also rise proportionally.

The world is witnessing significant increases in musculoskeletal conditions and noncommunicable diseases such as diabetes and stroke, which, if they continue, will greatly add to the need for prostheses and orthoses. Thus, by the middle of this century, the proportion of the world’s population that requires services is likely to be closer to 1%."

Our senior clinician, Ayse took the reigns this morning and went through an in-house refresher with the clinical team on how to use diagnostic walking casts with Neuroswing ankle joints and the impact of the different spring types, and tuning options on a client's gait. Who - in this case, is our extremely patient admin team member, Theo. His patience was paid for with Tim Tams.
