I just finished reading The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a Fck* by Sarah Knight, and it left a strong impression on me.

The book was a reminder that our time and energy are limited, and we don’t need to invest them in things that don’t truly matter. Learning to say “no” isn’t selfish, it’s wise. By setting boundaries, letting go of unnecessary guilt, and focusing on what genuinely brings peace and joy, life feels lighter and more meaningful.

Another important message I took away is the value of not being a people pleaser. For too long, many of us feel pressured to meet everyone’s expectations, even at the expense of our own well-being. This book reinforced that it’s possible to choose happiness for yourself without harming others, and that doing so leads to a more authentic and fulfilling life.

My biggest takeaway: stop pouring energy into things that drain you, protect your peace, and remember that your happiness matters too.

What’s something you’ve recently chosen to let go of?

Stand in grace, in kindness, with love your steady guide,
Let storms swirl around you — stay peaceful deep inside.
For worth is not a mirror held by someone else’s hand,
It’s the light within you — strong, unshaken, grand.

let whispers roam the air,
Let them craft their stories — it’s not your truth to bear.
Their thoughts won’t break you, their words won’t dim your flame,
For you are not their gossip, their noise, or empty blame.

There are times when silence becomes a virtue—
a dignified pause amidst the noise of life.
In such moments, one may find it wiser
to withhold speech,
not out of indifference,
but in quiet reverence for peace.

Words, though powerful, are not always necessary;
some truths are best honored in stillness.
Thus, we choose silence—not as surrender,
but as a gentle passage
through which the soul may let go
with grace and composure.
