A new phase for Audio Link.
2023 has well and truly kicked off, and we have decided to take our business in a new direction. Due to this transition, as of March 2023 we will no longer be offering repair services.
All repairs currently in the shop will still be completed, and warranties will be honoured for prior repair work.
Our eBay store remains online and you can still purchase parts and supplies from us there.
Thanks to all of you that have supported us this far and we look forward to seeing what we can offer you next!
Feel free to email us if you have any questions - [email protected]
Not something that comes in every day! This Christmas themed train came in for a repair as the controller was not operating properly.
Now it's all fixed - pretty cool if you ask me!
Another year draws to a close. Thanks to everyone who purchased from our store or brought your device in for repair!
We are taking a much needed break and will be closed from 24th December through until 17th January. Our online store will still operate during this time, but we will not be taking in repair jobs during this period.
If you need a repair during the period we are closed, please submit a request on our website and we'll get back to you when we open again.

😣 This Xbox One S was feeling a little unwell... Slow and sometimes not waking up. Don't worry, it didn't have COVID-19, but it did have a failing hard drive.
We replaced the hard drive and thermal paste, and now the Xbox is feeling like new again. Let us know if your console is unwell - we can help 😎

PS4 came in with a broken HDMI port. As you can see in the left photo, the pins were pushed all the way through the port! It's no problem for us though :)

Soundcraft 600... experiencing some buzzing. Suspect from the power supply, crack it open and sure enough those caps need to be replaced. Check out that bulge!! 🥴

This PS4 Pro came in as it was overheating and the fans were running like a jet engine! I'm not surprised - look at how much thermal paste was actually on the APU!
We gave it a clean and applied new thermal paste and now it's running quiet 😎

I definitely seem to be getting the fun repair jobs lately! In this repair we had a Nintendo Switch that was not recognising an SD card being inserted. We replaced the SD card reader and the issue persisted. I threw the board under the microscope - lo and behold there was a pin missing from the port!
I was able to replace the port with one off a donor board and the Switch is now reading SD cards. Happy gaming!

(Ignore the flux in the photos, the pictures were taken pre-clean)
This Nintendo Switch was a challenge! It came in with the issue of no power, no charge. Plug the console in and it was pulling 0A - absolutely nothing. The charge port was fine, no bent or damaged pins.
I removed the mainboard and noticed 2 spots of corrosion, and had to replace a number of components that were burnt, shorting and failed. I thought the chances of this thing coming back to life was about 20%.
After replacing a number of components, it was still pulling 0A and there was no voltage coming out of M92T36. I replaced M92T36 and the issue persisted. I noticed when powered that the capacitor above PI3USB was shorting (an active short - only when power was going through the circuit). I replaced PI3USB and the console started pulling 0.4A and we had 5V at the battery terminals!
I'm glad I kept persisting with this one and the customer is very happy!
Moving to the dark side of the AV industry, today I’ve got a moving par head on the workbench. This one is strobing/flickering rather than outputting a consistent light.
