BNI is a professional International Networking organisation that meets on a weekly basis.
BNI members in Australia reported to BNI that they generated $155 million of business referrals through their participation in BNI in the 2009/10 financial year. In that same period BNI members worldwide passed over 6.2 million referrals representing over A$2.9 billion of new business.
Before the coffee had finished pouring, the conversations were already flowing at BNI Northern Lights this morning ☕✨
There were plenty of laughs, genuine catch-ups and helpful conversations around the room — local business owners taking the time to learn about one another, share ideas and look for ways to support each other.
That’s what we love about our chapter: it’s not just about referrals. It’s about building real relationships with good people in our local business community. 🤝

Our BNI Northern Lights members recently gathered at the new DV Safe Phone office. A big thank you to Ashton and the team for welcoming us!
DV Safe Phone gives donated mobile phones a second life by securely testing, data-wiping and preparing them for people escaping domestic violence. These phones provide a safe way to contact emergency services, support networks and loved ones when it matters most. 💜📱
Such an important organisation, and a lovely reminder that BNI is about genuine relationships, community and supporting each other.

On Wednesday, we’re excited to hear from Melinda Nagy from Light Planning Media 📸
Mel is the co-director, photographer and media strategist at Light Planning Media, helping construction and property businesses create strategic photo and video content that builds trust and keeps their brand visible.
Rather than creating random, one-off content, Mel helps businesses plan useful media libraries they can use across their websites, social media, marketing and sales.
