Grow Revenue

The only Australian AI SEO agency that has generated $26M+ in client revenue across Google, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini & Copilot

18/09/2026

Here's how we more than doubled this client's monthly attributed revenue from Google + AI, from $214,400 to $522,800.

The client is a statewide law firm.

They had never run an AI SEO campaign.

Before working with us, they were generating 73 enquiries a month from Google organic + AI.

That attributed to about $214,400 a month.

One of the (many) changes that moved the needle hardest was this:

- AI leans on awards and accreditation when it recommends lawyers.

- This firm had won a lot of them.

- Most of those awards sat on the site as images, so AI could not read them as cleanly as text.

- We put the awards into text and schema, and we attached those credentials to the pages AI was already citing for β€œbest lawyer” and β€œbest firm” questions.

AI impressions on generative search features rose 26% from June to August.

Over those same 3 months, Google + AI netted $1.42 million in revenue for the firm.

Zoom out to the full campaign, and the picture is:

- AI leads convert at about 5x the rate of Google organic leads.

- Monthly attributed revenue from AI + Google more than doubled, from $214,400 to $522,800.

- Since they started with us, that is $1.14 million attributed from AI search and $836k from Google organic.

- Combined total of AI + Google organic revenue generated is $1.98 million across 5 months.

AI visibility is interesting.

Watching it show up in attributed revenue is what changes how a firm thinks about search.

If you are tired of not being picked as the AI's answer, message me and let's fix that.

Many people believe affiliate SEO is dead.

They couldn't be more wrong.

It's true - Google did crush affiliate sites in 2022-24.

However, they changed something big in late 2024.

When Google released the September 2024 helpful content core algorithm update, things started to change.

Affiliate SEO sites that mass-spammed AI-written reviews on autopilot got destroyed.

Sites that included firsthand original "non-commodity" research and evidence started to take their place.

I've been testing this out on my own product review site: rankmaxracing.com

Although the site is extremely small with only 8 reviews, all but one rank on the first page for their target keywords.

Most are also cited in the AI Overviews.

Key takeaway: focus on product review quality over quantity. Provide more firsthand evidence and original media than your top competitors. And don't forget to include valid product review schema.

P.S. - I'm building all my skills, knowledge, and workflows on affiliate SEO into Rankmax Agent so it can do this work for you. Sign up for early access here: https://rankmax.ai/

I can't believe the day has finally arrived.

Today I'm revealing Rankmax Agent to the world.

It's an AI Agent that actually gets your SEO & AI Search work done.

It's been a long road to get here:

- Almost 3 years since I launched Rankmax
- Pivoted from an AI SaaS writing tool to an SEO Agency
- Achieved $26M+ in client revenue from our agency work
- Spent 1000s of hours building, testing & refining AI workflows
- Tried every major SEO AI platform & agent out there
- Became convinced that we could build something better

So we built Rankmax Agent from the lessons in generating that $26M+.

On the workflows we've proven over the past 3 years.

Rankmax Agent is built to handle SEO work that in-house marketers struggle with:

- Works inside your existing AI setup
- Improves your AI search selection visibility
- Finds & fixes technical SEO issues
- Improves your content without getting you penalised
- Reports on what's working & what isn't
- Learns from results & refines your strategy over time

Built for those who need the SEO & AI Search work done, not another report.

Thomson Reuters just spent $40 million and two years building their own AI model, only for it to already be outdated.

They fine-tuned Alibaba's open-source Qwen on decades of firm content, then hosted a closed model only their staff can reach.

The CTO said renting AI is like renting a house: you get a roof, but no equity that compounds.

Thomson-1 LLM wins a few rows against Gemini 3.1 Pro, Opus 4.8, and GPT-5.5.

But those comparison models are all last generation and already outdated.

This is the problem with a multi-year build out.

It freezes you against yesterday's models the day you ship.

There is a better way to own the same idea, much faster and for less.

Start with a current open-weight model like Kimi K3.

Run a short LoRA fine-tune on your best recent work.

Host the result on your own VPS.

Your IP stays in your ecosystem, not filtered out through a rented third-party API forever.

Not to mention the money you stop burning on your monthly Anthropic API bill.

I'm about to release my own SEO agent, harness and model ecosystem that demonstrates this exact approach.

So far, it's cost under $1,000 in API and tooling to develop.

Stay tuned for the upcoming reveal!

I'll be sharing all my lessons learned along the way.

How to track conversions from AI Search in GA4:

1. Set up key event tracking.

I have a free course that walks through this end to end if you need the setup.

2. Go GA4 > Advertising > Key event attribution paths.

3. Select the key events you set up from step 1.

4. Change Primary Channel Group to Source.

That turns the vague "AI Assistant" label into the actual AI platform name.

In the screenshot above, AI Assistant is already showing as a real conversion path.

Third on the list at 11.24% of key events.

Plug the GA4 MCP or API into your favourite AI tool and cross-reference Pages and Landing pages.

You can then see which page the AI visitor first landed on.

And which page they converted on.

Pair that with Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit and you can see which of those pages are getting cited in AI, and what for.

More importantly, you can see which converting pages are not being cited yet.

Then you know exactly what to fix to grow AI Assistant conversions.

Rinse, repeat, profit.

Mid-2026 update: we've cleared $26M+ in attributed client revenue from organic + AI search, up from $20M+ in January. Top thing we learned:

Make SEO decisions from your CRM, not just Google Search Console and Google Analytics.

Most people are dumping GA + GSC into Claude, panicking that traffic is down, then burning tokens "fixing" the wrong things.

Traffic can be down and the business still be up.

Our north star is new customer lifetime value added.

Measuring that north star depends on the client's business.

E.g net new signups, clients, contract value, net sales, upsells and cross-sells etc

That data should live inside your CRM.

H1 2026 vs H1 2025 organic clicks didn't always line up the same way.

AI Mode wasn't even launched in Aus until H2 2025!

On the programmes we measure this way, attributed lifetime value from organic + AI is up on the same half last year.

Because we optimise against new customer lifetime value added, not just the sessions.

See comments for the numbers, plus how you can start improving the success of your SEO efforts by LTV & ROI too.

ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot now answer for a billion people a week. Getting in front of them comes down to one channel almost everyone forgets.

That channel is Bing.

Most businesses ignore it, because Google owns almost all of search.

But Bing's index powers Microsoft Copilot.

If Bing hasn't indexed your page, Copilot has nothing to cite.

ChatGPT leans heavily on Bing too.

The screenshot below is our own Bing Webmaster Tools: 982 Copilot citations in six months, all earned through Bing.

Checking your own is free.

Open Bing Webmaster Tools and import from Google Search Console.

Then see whether your key pages are indexed.

If they are not, Copilot and ChatGPT are answering without you.
