ᴄᴏᴍɪɴɢ ɪɴ 2025

PFD are in the early stages of developing a Security "𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗧" competition, and we are testing the waters and seeking EOI of competing in a competition in late 2025 or early 2026.

There will be both individual and 4-person team events with prizes awarded for each category including a revolver and pistol class, and is open Australia wide. But don't stress if you don’t have your own team as individual entries will be placed in a team of 4 to compete.

There will be chances to win different stages based on accuracy and speed with the "𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁" being awarded the overall Security "𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗧" Champion.🏆

There will be an entry fee to participate to assist covering range/competition overheads with 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 needed and welcomed to assist providing prizes with partnership branding on all social media and advertising posts available, but get in early to maximise exposure.

🎯𝗧𝗢𝗣 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗧
PFD had a great day on the range on Friday conducting an Armed Guard Requalification program.

After the completion of the practical assessment, we all decided to have an elimination shoot-off for the Top Shot Award in a skill of Marksmanship putting our shooting fundamentals to the test.

We placed a white dot on the centre of the target that is about the size of a 10 cent piece, with the objective to hit it, or get as close as you can with the two shooters furthest away from the dot dropping out each round until we had our finalists.

We started at 5 meters, then moved back to 7, 10, and 13 metres until we were left with two partisapants with PFDs SIFI David one of them.

The final was "the best of three" from 15 meters with David winning the first round before claiming victory with a bullseye shot dead centre using a SIG P320 9mm semi-automatic pistol.

It was truly a skilled shot and a great show of Marksmanship highlighting the importance of the fundamentals, professional practice/training and skill development.

Well done to everyone in attendance with a 100% pass rate and a great day on the range.
