Forensic Solutions Litigation Support

When thinking about what we should do to celebrate our first anniversary in the middle of lockdown, we thought it appropriate that we catch up in a park like our first face to face meeting. We are grateful for the support we received over the past 12 months and are excited about what the future holds.

Today marks six months since the launch Forensic Solutions Litigation Support by David and Kellie and we want to say thanks to everyone who has supported us along the way. Looking forward to working with you in the months and years to come.

Yesterday was an exciting day for Forensic Solutions Litigation Support as we moved into our first office at 485 La Trobe Street.

Kellie recently completed the MELCA Interdisciplinary Collaborative Training Course. This was completed in the context of family law matters where the Parties have a team comprising of the neutral financial (that’s us!), neutral psychologist and their own collaborative lawyer and together the team assists the Parties to negotiate their way through their separation amicably. One benefit is the preservation of their relationship to continue co-parenting their children after separation.

Starting a new business during the COVID-19 lockdown meant that all of the setup was done by email, telephone and Zoom. With the change in restrictions on Sunday, David and Kellie were able to meet at a park and talk about how things are going. It was so good to catch up in person!

I'm often asked about my introduction to forensic accounting and I have a bit of a unique story. To put it literally you might say that I was thrown into the deep end and left to sink or swim.

I've prepared a short video that talks about my first experience as a forensic accountant, which was also my first experience as an expert witness.

Scary Introduction — Forensic Solutions Litigation Support It is clear that my introduction to the life of an expert witness didn’t take the normal route. While it might best be described as one part scary and one part intimidating, it has held me in good stead.
