Understanding your ADHD changes what you think about yourself. It rarely changes what your nervous system does under pressure — because those patterns were built through experience, and they shift through experience too.

That's the difference between knowing and reprocessing. What has insight helped you see, but not quite helped you change? Follow for more, and there's a link in bio if you'd like a free 15-minute chat.

ADHD coaching isn’t just about finding better tools, tips or productivity hacks.

Sometimes the real barrier is why engaging feels so difficult in the first place.

Years of criticism, setbacks, overwhelm and negative experiences can shape how we respond to tasks, expectations and perceived failure.

Understanding those stress-response patterns can create space to regulate first — and then engage more effectively.

Regulated productivity isn’t about forcing yourself to do more. It’s about creating the conditions to engage differently.

What gets in the way of your productivity when you’re under stress?

Most people arrive here having spent years trying harder, masking better, or pushing through. What I offer isn't a programme to fix you — it's a space where you can actually just be. Where your pace, your values, and your way of making sense of the world are the starting point, not something to find error in. What would it mean for you to be genuinely met, rather than fixed? Sometimes it’s not the size of the setback that ruins your day.

A small change. A perceived rejection. Something not going to plan.

And suddenly, the whole day feels wrong.

The key may be noticing the familiar trigger → reaction pattern before it takes over.

Stop. Pause. Breathe.

That moment of space can become a circuit breaker — giving you the opportunity to respond differently rather than automatically reacting in the same old way.

What could change if you gave yourself a pause before reacting?

One comment. One moment. And suddenly the whole day belongs to that feeling.

For a lot of us — especially with ADHD or a history of not quite fitting — criticism doesn't land lightly. It activates. The nervous system reads it as threat, and the mind rushes in with a story that goes way beyond what was actually said.

Learning to feel the sting without becoming it is a skill. One worth building.

Have you noticed what your mind does in the minutes after criticism lands — does it spiral, go quiet, or something else?

For some adults with ADHD, the challenge isn’t too little attention—it’s too much.

When the brain struggles to filter competing sounds, sights, conversations and sensations, everything can feel equally important.

The result? Sensory overload, overwhelm, and the need to step away.

Finding a quiet space isn’t avoidance. It can be a way to downregulate, self-soothe and reset.

What helps you switch off when everything feels like too much?

The feeling lands before your brain has a chance to catch up — and suddenly your whole day has shifted. That's not weakness or overreaction. For many neurodivergent adults, the emotional response genuinely does arrive faster than the regulation.

Naming what you're feeling — out loud or internally — is one of the simplest ways to help your nervous system find its footing again. What's one emotion that tends to catch you off guard? Follow for more, and the link in bio has a free 15-minute chat if any of this resonates.

Why do some professionals with ADHD leave everything until the last minute?

⏳ Time blindness can make future deadlines feel less urgent.
🧠 Too many competing tasks can make it difficult to prioritise.
🔥 High-pressure deadlines can create the urgency, focus and stimulation needed to finally get moving.

It’s not always about laziness or poor motivation — sometimes the brain has learned to rely on pressure to activate performance.

But what if you could create the right level of urgency without waiting for the panic?

Do you find you work better under pressure?

Most productivity advice skips the most important step — your nervous system. When we're dysregulated, no system, app, or strategy will carry us far. Sustainable output isn't about doing more; it's about creating the conditions where your brain can actually function. What's one sign your body gives you before you hit the wall? Follow for more and find the link in bio for a free 15-minute chat.

Emotions at full volume aren't a sign something's broken — they're often just a nervous system that learned to feel everything deeply.

One thing that might help: instead of trying to stop the wave, notice where you feel it, name it out loud, and let it move through rather than pushing it away. It sounds small, but awareness can help. What's one feeling that tends to catch you off guard? Follow along for more, and there's a link in bio if you'd like a free 15-minute chat.
