It's fair to say that we're all still recovering from the wonderful night that was last Thursday at our Stories of Local Food showcase. We heard from speakers playing all different roles in the food system and running exciting and innovative projects, and a bonus on the night was all of the generous donations we had from local businesses towards giveaways, thank you gifts for speakers, and our raffle baskets.

One of these generous donors was Bactivate, a company owned by a family who are passionate and driven to regenerate our soil with a mission "to bring generational prosperity to farmers through soil regeneration". Whether you are a farmer or a backyard gardener these guys can provide you with support and soil regeneration packs to nurture healthy, vibrant soils, and they were generous enough to provide us with EIGHTY backyard soil regeneration packs valued at $50 each to give away to all of our event attendees. Needless to say there were a lot of very excited faces as everyone grabbed their pack on their way home! It was an incredibly valuable thing to be able to offer at our event, so a big thank you from us and we look forward to seeing more of all the great work these guys are achieving.
