Fabricator / Welder – Aluminium TIG

Key Duties

· TIG welding aluminium to a high standard

· MIG welding aluminium and steel to a high standard

· MIG welding experience is preferred but training can be provided for the right candidate

· Fabrication of canopy and tray components from drawings

· Use of brake press, guillotine, saws and general workshop equipment

· Working with jigs, templates and production processes

· Maintaining quality, accuracy and tidy workmanship

· Collaborating with the team to meet deadlines

SHEETMETAL WORKER REQUIRED IMMEDIATE START

About the Role

- General Sheet Metal fabrication type products
- Fabrication of Stainless-Steel Benches, Canopies, Ute bodies & toolboxes
- Site work and site installation of jobs required
- General Brake press work
- Cutting and folding
- MIG welding TIG welding (Aluminium and Stainless)

The successful applicant will have:

- Trade Qualification- Metal Engineering Certificate III Engineering - Fabrication
- A great attitude!
- Excellent problem solving skills and analytical and decision-making skills;
- Full Australian work rights
- Current Driver's License
- Current Construction White Card
- EWP Ticket and Forklift Ticket preferred (but not essential)
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and manage time efficiently;
- A high degree of accuracy with measurement;
- High knowledge of safety procedures to adhere to at all times and ability to maintain a safe work environment;
- Be well presented and reliable;
- The ability to work autonomously as well as a member of a team;
- Ability to read drawings and instructions;
- Meet production schedules and deadlines

LEADINGHAND BOILERMAKER REQUIRED IMMEDIATE START

What you'll be doing

- Leading a crew with the guidance of managers and supervisors

- Assisting in the planning of workshop production by providing input to be able to maximise productivity gains and improve efficiencies

- Perform fabrication duties and welding techniques including, but not limited to, GMAW, FCAW with the ability to pass an AS1554.1 weld tests to the above techniques - if required

- Interpret engineering drawings

- Operate various power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment to shape, cut, and join metal
components

- Comply with all workplace health and safety regulations and procedures

What we're looking for

- Formal qualifications in Boilermaking or a related trade

- Drivers License - Class C

- Dogman and Rigging qualifications (desired)

- Proven experience in the fabrication

- High proficiency in MIG & TIG welding techniques

- Strong technical skills in welding, cutting, and shaping metal

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

- Knowledge of relevant workplace health and safety regulations

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

- Teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

- You will have the enthusiasm and passion to step up and demonstrate strong leadership capabilities. You will champion safety, mentor less experienced staff, and help deliver great results.
