At Inclusee, we believe connection matters 💞 and everyone deserves to feel welcome, respected, and included.
This June, for Pride Month, we’re celebrating the kind of community we want to keep building: one where older Australians and carers can connect from home, join in with confidence, and feel part of something meaningful.
In Australia, Pride is both a celebration and a reminder. It honours the courage of LGBTQIA+ people who pushed for visibility, safety and equal rights over many decades. The origins can be traced back to the Stonewall riots in New York City in June 1969.
Locally, Pride Month has been celebrated since the 1970's including early Pride activism and the first Sydney Mardi Gras in 1978, when marchers faced arrests and violence that became a turning point in Australia’s LGBTQIA+ rights movement.
This year’s theme, Connected in Colour, reflects the beauty of a community where every identity is seen, valued and included.
Happy Pride. 🌈 Thank you for helping us turn connection into inclusion.

This National Reconciliation Week, we are All In for connection, culture, and community 💛
We are so proud to share a special blog about our Yarning Circle with Danni and Uncle Gordon Cowburn, a warm and welcoming space where people come together to listen, share stories, and feel a sense of belonging.
Because it is part of Inclusee’s Virtual Community Centre, this Yarning Circle can be joined from home. That means no travel, no pressure, and a gentle way to stay socially connected, especially for older people who may be feeling isolated.
If you are looking for a meaningful way to connect, for yourself or someone you love, take a moment to read this story.

🌿 National Reconciliation Week 2026 (27 May to 3 June) 🌿
This year’s theme, All In for Reconciliation, is a reminder that building inclusive, connected communities takes all of us. It’s about showing up, listening and taking action in the everyday moments that bring people together.
At Inclusee, connection is at the heart of what we do. We see the impact of genuine relationships every day, and we know a more inclusive future is built through understanding, respect and shared experiences.
This week is an opportunity for all of us to be part of that change. To be all in.

Last week we were proud to be a Bronze Sponsor of the Positive Ageing Summit — and to take part in conversations that signal real momentum across our sector.
Across government, service delivery and community organisations, a shared message came through clearly: positive ageing cannot be achieved without prioritising social connection.
Our latest blog reflects on the Summit, an unexpected moment of alignment between speakers - Natalie Siegel-Brown, Inspector-General for Aged Care and Rachael Cook, Inclusee CEO, and what it means when leaders across the system arrive at the same conclusion — that prevention, connection and belonging must sit at the centre of aged care reform.
It’s encouraging to see the sector moving in this direction. And it reinforces why Inclusee continues to advocate for social connection as essential infrastructure, not an afterthought.
Thank you to Australian Ageing Agenda and Community Care Review for this event.
