Last week, John and Scott attended the LGAQ Bush Councils Convention in Longreach. The conference dinner was held at the iconic Qantas Founders Museum and with State of Origin on the same night, there was only one screen for the occasion: the side of a Boeing 747. Safe to say it was a memorable way to watch the game!

Last week Scott attended his final meeting of the Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council. Scott was the committees' inaugural Chair and has spent a total of four years as an independent member providing pro-bono services. On behalf of Council, the Mayor Bruce Simpson presented him with an emu egg painted by a talented local artist.

Scott and Bronwyn had the pleasure of visiting Diamantina Shire Council two weeks ago to conduct a sundry plant review.

Despite the flooding, Scott visited Diamantina Shire Council last week to assist with their corporate plan. He captured these images from the plane last Monday and the view in Bedourie on Friday.

The shire remains only accessible by plane and could be for months as repeated heavy rainfall both in the local area and upstream makes its way to Lake Eyre.

A few weeks ago Scott had the privilege of visiting Carpentaria Shire Council to assist in developing the Council’s corporate plan. Working closely with Councillors, staff, and community members, he facilitated workshops to ensure the plan reflects the region’s unique opportunities and priorities.

A well-structured corporate plan is a vital tool for shaping a region’s future, and it was fantastic to see such strong participation from the Carpentaria community. We thank Councillors and staff for their commitment to the process and special thanks CEO Anne Andrews for her leadership.

We are proud to share that last month we were re-certified as an ISO 9001:2015 compliant company.

We believe this certification demonstrates that our management system meets international standards and ensures our services are consistent, cost effective and high quality.
