This is Carly!
Carly came on board as a JSPP athlete in October 2025 in our first month of operation. Carly first got back into the sport after a big break and has had to juggle some of the most challenging circumstances! She takes on every training session with a positive attitude and continues to push herself to find ways to overcome and adapt to these challenges!
Her progression in be sport over the past 9 months has been very inspiring!
Due to her commitment and passion for performance Carly has now been selected to represent Australia and take on her first Para Triathlon World Cup this weekend in Besancon (France) along side her guide Gemma Berry!
We wish Carly and Gemma all the very best for this Saturdays Para World Cup!

High Performance Junior distance running team 2026!
I am extremely excited to announce, central QLDs first ever High Performance Junior distance running team! To be in a position to be able to not only provide high performance programming but now also financial assistance to 6 dedicated, hard working juniors athletes is extremely rewarding!
This is only possible due to the incredible response and support that the JS Performance Project has received from every athlete over the past 9 months!
With over 20 applications from far North QLD through to South East QLD, it was a difficult decision to narrow it down to 6 athletes!
As JSPP continues to grow over the coming years, we will continue to grow this team and provide more assistance and more opportunities for junior distance runners in QLD!

Big congratulations to 2 of our JS Performance Project juniors that took on the Wide Bay regional cross country trials today.
Some very impressive results from these 2 dedicated athletes!
Grace Woodard - 1st Place 13 year girls 3km 🥇
Braith Cowie - 1st Place 16 year Boys 6km 🥇
This marks the end of the regional cross country trials for our Capricornia and Wide bay athletes with 7 of our junior athletes finishing on the podium in their respective age groups at the regional trials!
These juniors now progress onto the QLD all schools cross country trials in July!

Capricornia cross country trials!
Well done to our JS Performance Project junior athletes that competed today in the regional cross country trials.
Successful outing for all of these dedicated, hard working athletes with all 4 of them finishing on the podium in their respective age groups and therefore qualifying for the Capricornia team to compete at the QLD trials in July!

Race week!

First up we have the Noosa Marathon, then onto the 1770 fun run and lastly the Capricornia schools cross country trials for our juniors!
