It starts with hair ties and mannequin heads.
It ends with dads swapping stories, sharing parenting wins (and fails), and realising they're not the only ones figuring it out as they go.
After two fully booked sessions, Blokes & Braids is back this August in a bigger venue with more spots and a few extra activities.
Comment BLOKES, and we'll send you the link to join the waitlist and be the first to hear when registrations open.
Real conversations, practical advice and plenty of laughs. 💛
A huge thank you to Connie from Womb Nutrition AU for joining us for Week 5 of Bloom & Connect and generously sharing her expertise with our mums-to-be.
The session was packed with valuable information, thoughtful discussion and lots of questions, with Connie helping to make sense of the often overwhelming world of nutrition during pregnancy and beyond.
We know that preparing for a baby can come with plenty of questions and information overload. Having local experts who are willing to share their knowledge in a supportive, down-to-earth way makes all the difference. Thank you, Connie, for such a fantastic session.
We've created something new 💛
Over the past year, Parent Thread has brought together hundreds of local parents through coffee catch-ups, Bloom and Connect, dads events and community gatherings.
But connection doesn't just happen at events.
It happens when someone asks for a recommendation.
When a parent reaches out for support.
When two people realise they're in the same season of life and decide to catch up for a coffee.
That's why we've launched the Parent Thread Community Facebook group.
A space for parents and caregivers across Geelong, the Bellarine and Surf Coast to connect, share advice, discover local events, organise catch-ups and build their village.
If you've been looking for your people, we'd love to welcome you.

Winter sunshine, warm drinks and good company ☕️
There was something special about today's coffee catch-up.
The conversation flowed easily, stories were shared, and there were plenty of moments that reminded us why these spaces matter.
Not every conversation has to be deep or life-changing. Sometimes the most powerful thing is hearing someone say, "Oh, thank goodness, it's not just me."
Connection can look different every time. Today it looked like a group of parents taking a moment to slow down, chat, laugh and leave feeling a little more connected than when they arrived.
Thanks to everyone who joined us 🤍

Not everything needs to be productive to be meaningful ☕
This is your monthly reminder that sitting with a coffee and other parents who just get it counts too.
Parent Thread Coffee Catch-Up is back!

A small pause. A shared breath. A softer hour ✨
One thing I've loved this month is getting to meet some incredible founders and community leaders right here in our region.
People who have seen a need, taken a chance on an idea, and worked hard to create something that makes a difference for others.
As someone building Parent Thread, those conversations have been incredibly inspiring. They've reminded me how much passion, generosity and quiet determination exists within our local community.
It's easy to focus on the challenges of starting something new, but spending time with other founders has reminded me that meaningful change often starts small, with people who care enough to take the first step.
I'm feeling grateful for the connections I've made and excited about what we're building together here.

A little glimpse into this week’s Bloom & Connect.
We loved having Zeynap from Snuggle Gully join us to share practical babywearing safety tips, answer questions, and help demystify all the wraps and carriers out there.
It means so much when local experts generously give their time to support our expectant mums and help build confidence before baby arrives ✨

So many parents are carrying more than anyone can see.
This recent research doesn’t just highlight exhaustion, it reflects the invisible emotional load so many families are navigating every day.
And maybe the answer isn’t having all the solutions. Maybe it starts with feeling supported, understood, and less alone.
That’s the heart behind Parent Thread.
