Dreamweavers brings grandparents together to explore multicultural lullabies, storytelling and songwriting, and to turn family memories into a lullaby of your own.
Dates: Thursdays 12th, 19th & 26th November 2026
Time: 10:00 - 11:30am
Venue: Bluebird House, Geelong
For more than 4,000 years, songs meant to soothe and comfort children have connected families across generations and cultures. Dreamweavers is a short creative workshop series for grandparents, facilitated by musician Lucy Jones, alongside cultural advisors from the local community.

Hello Geelong friends,
Our Fashion & Accessory Design workshop for Young Stitches 9+ yrs has some spaces that have become available - starting Monday 12 October.
This creative hands-on course is where young people can explore sewing, fashion and creative design while building confidence and new skills with Simone Amethyst who has over 20 years experience.
From clothes and soft toys to accessories, upcycling and their own creative ideas, each participant is supported to bring their vision to life.
We'd love to welcome you at Bluebird Foundation Inc. 150 Swanston Street, Geelong.
🧵 Sew, design, make and create!
Sew & Style: Fashion Accessories is back at Bluebird House for Term 4 with Simone Amethyst
For ages 9+, this hands-on course gives young creatives the space to explore sewing, fashion and accessory design while building practical skills and confidence.
Participants can choose their own projects, from making clothes and stuffed toys to creating hair accessories, heat packs and jewellery, or giving old clothes a new life through upcycling.
They’ll learn to sketch ideas, plan a design, choose fabrics and bring their creations to life using hand-sewing techniques and a sewing machine.
There’s plenty of room for imagination too. Have an idea you’d love to make? Bring it to Simone and explore what’s possible.
📅 Mondays from 12 October | 4–5.30pm | Ages 9+

Our Creative Mindfulness classes are a chance to step away from the busy, get curious and let your imagination have a bit of fun. No pressure to be “good at art” — just bring yourself and a willingness to play.

Got a creative project in your head? Make some space for it.
Teen Studio is a relaxed art space for teens aged 12+ to come along, work on their own projects and hang out with other young creatives.
Bring your sketchbook, painting, illustration, mixed media project or whatever you’re currently into. There’s no set project to follow and no expectation that everyone makes the same thing.
Artist and mentor Melissa O'Shea is there to offer ideas, encouragement and a helping hand when you need it, while giving you plenty of space to figure things out for yourself.
It’s a chance to spend an hour each week doing something creative, trying new things and developing your own style.
📅 Thursdays from 15 October | 5.15–6.15pm | Ages 12+
8 weeks | $245 incl all materials
