Advanced Mining Production Systems - AMPS

It was a proud battle between WA School of Mines Alumni and Camborne School of Mines Association Alumni at the WASMA 2025 Better Together Quiz Night last night. Proving that we really are better together, and with a team comprised of some of the best of both sides, the Advanced Mining Production Systems - AMPS team made it all the way to a final tie-breaker to finish in 2nd place. 🥈

It was a fun evening, and even better for being for a good cause. The FIFO Family Project spoke about some of their initiatives in support of FIFO Families, including the development of documents for their knowledge hub. The evening also raised money for WASM's Student Pantry initiative based in Kalgoorlie.

Last week, some of the Advanced Mining Production Systems - AMPS team volunteered at St Patrick's Community Support Centre in Fremantle. We helped out in the kitchen and prepared different meals that can help to feed people in need. 🍽

St Pat's is doing incredible work in the local Fremantle community. Their ultimate goal is to end chronic homelessness and they are always looking for volunteers and donations. We are proud to support as a team.

Each quarter, our team recognises an employee for their contribution to the AMPS Values; Passion, Value, Collaboration, World-Class and Accountable. At Advanced Mining Production Systems - AMPS, we recognise and value all the hard work and dedication our employees put in.

Chey is our first point of contact for new employees, welcoming them to the office and the AMPS business. Facilitating their mobilisation to site and ensuring that employees are trained in the AMPS systems, Chey goes above and beyond to support all AMPS employees.

Since joining AMPS in June last year Chey has hit the ground running and has happily assisted both the Business Support team and the broader business and has continued to grow and develop in her role. Her proactive approach and willingness to help all has made a significant and positive impact on AMPS since day 1.

The Advanced Mining Production Systems - AMPS and AMPS Academy teams came together last week for our second Quarterly Update of 2025.

The afternoon kicked off with a Masterclass on Accountability led by our Performance Coach, Peta Slocombe. 💡 Peta’s sessions are always a standout, and this one was no exception - packed with practical tools and strategies to support growth and development across the AMPS team.

Next up was our Quarterly Update, where each department shared their highlights and key milestones from the last quarter, as well as what’s coming up next. We wrapped things up with a some fun at The Palace Arcade - complete with retro games and pizza. 🎮🍕

Thanks to everyone who came along, whether in person or online - it’s always a highlight to reconnect with site-based team members in the office. We're already looking forward to the next one.

Olivia is an Underground Mine Geologist, who's been part of the AMPS team since 2021. She was recently recognised by the client team she works with and awarded the 'Chief of Consistency' for achieving an impressively low standard deviation in her face sample weights. She is also consistent in her role at AMPS - our clients love working with her and we regularly receive feedback on how she goes above and beyond on her deployments. Olivia's world-class behaviour, attention to detail, and professionalism have set a high standard.

Congratulations Amanda Stanners👏 This week we get to celebrate 7 years of working with Amanda.

From her first day at Advanced Mining Production Systems - AMPS, Amanda has been an amazing problem solver. She just has the right kind of brain for figuring out what needs to be done; she develops the necessary processes, sets them up, and automates them whenever possible. We're excited to see her return to FIFO recently after working remotely on projects - during that time she even helped to update our Drill & Blast Optimisation Training Course we're running right now.

Congratulations Lauren Stienstra!👏 This week we get to celebrate 7 years of working with Lauren.

Lauren is a core pillar of the geology team at AMPS, having built the geology team from the ground up since 2018, until she handed day-to-day management to Allessandra recently. It's safe to say Lauren has done a remarkable job! Her dedication and leadership skills have led to her stepping into the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) this year, and we have no doubt that with Lauren helping to lead the way, Advanced Mining Production Systems - AMPS is in safe hands.

Congratulations Cesar Juan!👏 This week we celebrated five years of working with Ces.

Ces is a well loved member of our AMPS team, leading our Remote Design team with passion and expertise.

He has been dedicated to supporting our clients over his entire career with AMPS and is helpful, humorous and knowledgeable. He is available to our new underground employees, manages a number of projects in the mentoring and training space, and is a dab hand at drill and blast consulting himself.

This morning, our team members headed to Australian Red Cross Donation Centres across Australia for our quarterly team donation. So far this year, our team could be saving up to 15 lives.
