Been playing around with a tuna weave, done the same pattern 3 different ways. Which one is the best or which one would you choose to have on your rod. 1 is a single layer done with HT metallic. 2 is a 3 layer done with Fuji NOCP and 3 is a 3 layer done with HT metallic.

Have some refurbished rods for sale, all have had a refurb and are in excelent condition. Some have some minor scratches on the reel seats and gimbles but otherwise really good. All have been rebound and coated all have quality guides in either new or as new condition.
These are for pickup only I am not offering postage so if your interstate you will need a friend down here to collect and post for you. (sorry not worth the effort for the price)

Well folks regretfully an end of an era has finally come along for me. As of the 31st of December this year I will be closing down Custom off shore rods. I will complete the orders I have on the books over the next few weeks and also prepare all of my rod building gear for sale. The down turn in the industry along with competition from cheep imports leaves me with no other option. I have worked my butt of over the years trying to build quality rods at a fair price for my customers and would like to thank all of them for their support over the years but at the end of the day when the guy flipping burgers gets paid more than I do its time to go back to my trade and earn some real $.

Here are some Paua shell gaffs that will be on display this weekend at the Nugget outdoors fishing comp weigh in. If you have nothing to do this Sunday 18th June come on down to the new clubhouse (1 Ramu St
Eagleby, Qld) @12.00pm and meet the crew and have a look at these gaffs.

Tried somthing different this time with the weave, normally we would use metallic thread as the design and black as the wrap thread but I decided to change it up and go the opposite way. Pretty happy with the result. 37KG stand up bent but game rod, ALPS RX Rollers #2 Pale gold bent butt, leather grip.
