We are still going….
Main Building Group just completed a renovation converting a retail space to a medical office. As this project was time critical, we completed this on schedule and on budget. Here at Main Building Group we realise the importance of supporting our health care services at this difficult time and have the resources to assist with keeping our medical centres open and operational.
Stay safe and healthy everyone.

As you would be aware the continual developments with COVID-19 is impacting all of us in various ways. Here at Main Building Group we continue to remain open and fully operational. The situation is constantly evolving, and we will inform our clients if our status is required to change.
We are continuing to monitor, assess and respond to the impacts of COVID-19 and at present we have taken the appropriate and necessary precautions to minimise risk to our workers, our clients and the general public.
As our job sites continue to be accessible and we are able to source materials, we will remain open and operating as normal.
Our workers have been instructed to practice social distancing measures with 1.5m space between themselves and others. We have reduced the number of workers able to access a work site at any given time to ensure compliance with 1 person per 4m2 rule of social distancing. Extra cleaning and good hygiene measures have been put in place, particularly around high touch areas. Staff able to work remotely have been provided the resources to do so.
The Main Building Group safety protocols that are in place, include:
* Requirement for social distancing for all Main Building Group team members
* Clear protocols for monitoring health of our team members
* Clear protocols for responding to various scenarios (e.g. a suspected case or confirmed case on site).
* Daily communications to all team members through team meetings, text messages, and updates
* Ongoing engagement with our clients – Main Building Group provides a critical service to our communities and we are working with our clients to ensure our sites remain operational
It is essential to stay informed of all ways to minimise transmission of this awful disease. The Victorian Health and Human Services has information regarding COVID-19 and can be found at https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/victorian-public-coronavirus-disease-covid-19. Regular updates on the status of shutdowns and directions for the state of Victoria can be found at https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus-covid-19-daily-update
* Practice social distancing – no physical contact, no hand shaking, maintain 1.5 metres between people, do not participate in social gatherings
* Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, sneezing, or using the toilet. An alcohol-based hand sanitiser that contains at least 60 per cent alcohol is a good alternative if soap and water is unavailable.
* Monitor your health. If you are showing symptoms of COVID-19, or begin to feel unwell, self-isolate, contact your doctor and advise your direct contacts of the possible risk they have been exposed to the virus
* Cover your nose and mouth when you cough and sneeze either into your elbow or into a tissue and properly dispose of it. Wash your hands with soap and water afterwards.
* Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
* If you are sick, it is essential that you stay home to minimise the risk to the community
* If you have contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19, self-isolate and advise your direct contacts of their possible risk of exposure to the virus.
* Clean and disinfect high touch surfaces regularly, for example telephones, keyboards, door handles, light switches and, bench tops.
We all need to do our part to support each other and prevent the spread of the virus to protect our community and those most vulnerable.
