It’s Men’s Health Week.
This one is something I really care about.
A lot of the men who walk through my door come in carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders.
Work.
Family.
Being a husband.
Being a dad.
The pressure to provide.
The pressure to have it all together.
And most of them will tell you the same thing…
“I’m fine.”
When they’re exhausted.
When they’re stressed.
When they’ve spent years putting themselves last.
A lot of men come to me because they want to lose weight.
Get stronger.
Feel fitter.
But it’s never just about that.
It’s seeing the confidence come back.
It’s watching them set an example without even realising it.
Because when a dad, husband, partner or friend starts making his health a priority, people notice.
His kids notice.
His family notices.
They see someone who shows that being strong isn’t just about how much weight you can lift.
It’s about the person you are outside of the gym too.
The strongest men I know aren’t the ones who never struggle.
They’re the ones who keep showing up.
For their families.
For their partners.
For their kids.
For themselves.
So this week is about celebrating the men in our lives.
The husbands.
The dads.
The sons.
The brothers.
The mates.
The ones who work hard.
The ones who make us laugh.
The ones who show up for everyone else.
And maybe it’s a reminder to check in on them, encourage them and remind them that looking after themselves matters too.

Everyone needs an Elizabeth on their feed today.
Because this woman deserves to be celebrated.
She probably won’t tell you how hard she works.
So I will 😂
Elizabeth is the person FINISHING her training at 5am before the day even starts.
She’s the person who keeps showing up.
She’s the person who makes time to train even when life is busy.
She’s the person who plans ahead and meal preps on a Sunday.
She’s the person hitting PBs week after week because she’s willing to push herself.
She’s the person working around injuries instead of using them as a reason to stop.
She’s the person who doesn’t wait until everything is perfect, she’s doing what she can.
She’s the person focusing on what her body CAN do.
She’s the person who has a bad week, a busy week, a tired week… and still comes back.
She’s the person who decided she deserved time for herself.
She’s built habits.
She’s gotten stronger.
She’s hit more PBs than I can count.
She’s made training part of who she is.
The gym has become her “me time”.
And THAT is what I want for every single client.
Not just a result.
A lifestyle where you actually enjoy taking care of yourself.
Elizabeth, you should be so bloody proud of yourself.
Because I definitely am.
“What do you make as a coach?”
People expect the answer to be a number.
But that’s never been the reason I do this.
Behind every program, every check in and every session is a person.
Someone whose life got busy and they stopped making time for themselves.
Someone who’s spent years putting everyone else first.
Someone who thinks they’re too old, too unfit, too busy or that they’ve left it too late.
Then, slowly things start to change.
They get stronger.
They walk into the gym with confidence.
They start making time for themselves.
They realise looking after themselves isn’t selfish.
I teach people how to lift weights.
We work on nutrition.
We build routines that fit their life.
But the best part is watching someone realise…
“I can do hard things”
That’s what I make.

My favourite thing about public holidays…
Just to be able to train without rushing 😂
My training always gets squeezed somewhere in between clients, school drop offs, running a business, mum life and all the other millions of things that need to get done.
Yes, I absolutely still show up on those days because consistency matters.
But days like today are so different.
I don’t have to rush.
I don’t have to watch the clock.
I’m not thinking about the next thing I have to rush off to.
Just me, my headphones, my training and time for myself.
This is what I want my clients to experience.
Because training shouldn’t always feel like another job on your endless to do list.
It shouldn’t just be something you force yourself to do to lose weight.
Or because someone told you that you “should” exercise.
Yes, lifting weights will build muscle.
Yes, it helps you get stronger.
Yes, it’s one of the best things you can do for your health.
But the thing that keeps you doing it for years is that you actually enjoy it.
You love feeling stronger.
You love seeing yourself improve.
You love doing something for yourself.
Eventually it stops being something you have to do and becomes something you get to do.
That’s when you get the best results.
Not because you’re punishing yourself to get a smaller body but because you’ve built a lifestyle you love.
I don’t train because I hate my body and want to change it.
I train because I love who I am when I do.
And that’s what I want for all of my clients.
Not just the before and after photos, not just a number on the scale, but finding something that makes them feel strong, confident and proud of themselves.
Because that changes everything.
