​Bring out your Formula 1, Fantoms, LMP10, and 1/12 Scale chassis! If it's low, wide, and runs a flat bottom, get it prepped for the grid.

​⚡ Try the NEW Capelli K6 Karts!
​We’ll have a special appearance by the brand-new Capelli K6 Karts! Any paid-up member or entrant of the event will have the chance to test drive these awesome 1:6 scale karts on the track. Don't miss your opportunity to give them a spin!

Friday Night Racing +Mini Madness Race Report

What a FUN night of radio-controlled racing action at Geelong RC Racers for the Friday Night Racing +Mini Madness held on Aug 7, 2026. It was great to see a strong contingent of returning drivers adding depth to the grid, and an excellent turnout of contemporary and vintage minis that put on a fantastic show.
Results
We had a competitive field of 25 entries across our top classes with some great racing and close results:

• ISTC 21.5: 1st Place - Adam Ractliffe, 2nd Place - Renato A Benci, 3rd Place - Stephen Hoadley. Aleandro De Lorso pushed hard in Ren’s car to finish a mere 0.408 seconds behind Adam Ractliffe at the completion of the A3 Main.

• Mini Clubman: 1st Place - Tim Boundy, 2nd Place - Aaron De Fina, 3rd Place - Stephen Hoadley. Tim Boundy put together an incredibly consistent run to take a commanding overall victory.

• Tamiya Cup: 1st Place - Aleandro De Lorso, 2nd Place - Shamal Perera, 3rd Place - Aaron De Fina. Aleandro De Lorso put on a very tidy performance, with a gap of two full laps over the rest of the field.

• VTA: 1st Place - Grant Davies, 2nd Place - Paul Evans, 3rd Place - Shamal Perera. Grant Davies put on a dominant display, outlasting the field to secure the round victory over Paul Evans by a margin of two laps.

A massive thank you goes out to all the competitors who put on a great show, the dedicated marshals who kept the track clear and safe, and our hard-working committee for keeping everything running like clockwork.
