⚾ Meet the Coach | Greg Morris

53+ years in baseball. Over 30 years developing junior athletes. 17 years as a professional scout with Major League organisation.

Greg Morris will be part of the coaching team at Spring Breakout 2026, bringing an incredible depth of experience from across Australian and international baseball as a player, coach, hitting instructor and professional scout.

Greg has coached Queensland and Australian junior teams, led international tours to the USA and coached the 16U USA Regional Team to a silver medal at the 2022 National Championships in Arizona.

His 17 years in professional scouting also saw him sign numerous players, including two who went on to reach the Major Leagues, while his work in player development has made him a respected figure throughout the baseball community.

Players at Spring Breakout will have the opportunity to compete, develop, and learn from experienced coaches like Greg while putting themselves in an environment where preparation, performance and development matter.

The DownUnder World Series Spring Breakout is all about great baseball, competition, development and creating an experience the whole family can enjoy.

Alongside tournament games, Spring Breakout will feature plenty of fun competitions and activities throughout the event:

⚾️ Player Home Run Derby – Who can go deep and take the crown?
💥 Parents Home Run Derby – Time for Mum and Dad to show the kids how it’s done!
🔥 Around the Horn – Teams race the clock and test their skills.
🏃 Road Runner Competition – Find out who really is the fastest on the diamond!
🏆 Tournament Baseball – Teams competing across multiple age divisions for the Spring Breakout title.

The DownUnder World Series is about more than wins and losses. It’s about bringing players, coaches, parents and families together and creating memories and friendships through baseball.

Whether you’re playing, coaching, supporting from the stands or stepping up to the plate in the Parents Home Run Derby, there’s something for everyone!
