SITREP Sunday 6 Dec 2015

Hi all,

I am pleased to say that we have two programmers joining the team on a part time basis - Dan Dennison and Pavel Voilov. We have spent some time on preliminaries, like converting our dev environment and adopting to a new task tracker software so we can better coordinate tasking. We have also begun the process of finalising the features we will be working on for this next engine update.

Pavel is going to focus on Mounted Ops. I will focus on Sequential Tasking. I have yet to confirm with Dan but I am hoping he will assist me with the active graphics we need to support the sequential tasking. There are a swag of other features that are all worthy but I am being bloody minded here and limiting the focus to those required to model east front operations. If perchance we knock over these two tasks before our deadline, then we will put our heads together and see what other features we can squeeze in.

As to the deadline. I am aiming for a release of the CO2.2 update by end of March 2016.

Knock on all Doors (KOAD) has just been released. This is the latest data module for Command Ops 2. This comprises 12 huge scenarios from the Bulge, played on huge maps with an Army sized force. There are four sets of three scenarios - O-Tag, Decisions, Knock and Big Knock. The first two are purely historical. The last two are hypothetical based on the premis that Hi**er accepted the German staff plan. This called for a concept where the German forces would attack along the line and exploit wherever they got a breakthrough. A new module for CO2 called Westwall should be released in the next week. This covers the Allied attempts to breach the vaunted Siegfried Line and drive into the heart of Germany in the fall of 1944. Westwall highlights the major battles along the German frontier between Arnhem and Aachen, including the battles around the Peel Marshes, Geilenkirchen, and the Stolberg Corridor. As the Allies, can you breach the Westwall and overrun the exhausted German Army before they can rest and regroup? Or as the Germans, can you hold out sufficient reserves for a lightning strike against the Allied juggernaut?

Featuring highly accurate, detailed and beautiful maps, these scenarios field a varied force mix, including some with heavy concentrations of armour requiring dynamic, challenging operational decisions. The scenarios range in size from Regimental actions through to Army level operations. Contains 12 scenarios.

The Product page isn't up yet on the LNL store but here's a link to a teaser post on the CO2 forum:

SITREP 7 Jun 2015
Put out a final candidate build on Friday (5.9.14). All issues have been addressed though we do need to test the changes to the resupply code. Hence why this is a final candidate and not the final. If the feedback is all good we will declare this final next week.

The sale period for the Commander Pack ends on Thursday 16 June. So don't miss out.
