The Subsonic Speed Racers - Spring 2026 Sh*tBox Rally

Apologies for the lack of posts, the boys have had very limited (or very, very limited!) reception along the way. Add in a few late arrivals into camp as well with some buddy cars not having the best of luck with the conditions. Matty has been called in for a bit of triage along the way, with those tradie skills definitely coming in handy! 🤙🔧

It’s been a rough and challenging few days, with 1,177km of the 1,738km travelled so far being unsealed (and very muddy!) roads to conquer.

But the Subsonic Speed Racers and Iggy continue to motor on, with only minimal triage required. 🙌

And there’s a HUGE day ahead today, with the teams tackling a massive 922km from Alice Springs to Daly Waters... the longest single day the Rally has ever conquered!

Let’s hope the roads, cars and bodies are kind to them today. 🤞😂

Wow what a journey!

We are currently at Broken Hill having a cheeky beer, planning where we are stopping tonight.

We have taken the western route down going through Wondai, to Kingaroy and then finding our stop at Brewarrina!

Kicked off there early this morning going through to Bourke, Cobar now Broken Hill! Any guesses where we are stopping?!?!?

What has been amazing is kicking off the morning with some Long Blacks and topping up with from some of the Pure Blacks that I got generously gifted from our sponsors Bundaberg Coffee!

They really are an amazing option. Whether on the road or just at home in the morning, especially in the convenient squeeze bottles that can be reused!

There are so many reasons we are doing this seasons Sh*tBox Rally.

We are doing this for our family, friends and community who have had their time on earth cut short to this horrible disease called Cancer.

We are doing it for those who have had their world upended and are battling one of the hardest fights they will ever fight.

We are doing it for those who have battled and have decided not to continue treatment due to all horrible side effects they have experienced.

We are doing this for those who have battled and conquered it!

We are doing this for the families of these people who have had their entire lives changed; to become the carers, to be by their side, to be in their corner.

We are doing this in hope that the funds we can raise can help contribute to finding a cure for this so that our family, friends and community doesn't have to continue to suffer.
