We recently read The Big Book of Australian Nursery Rhymes together, and it quickly became one of those books we kept coming back to.

It’s simple in the best kind of way—rhythm, repetition, and beautiful illustrations that invite you to slow down, notice, and talk together.

What I loved most was how differently it was enjoyed in our home… one child was drawn to the rhythm and visuals, while the other used it as a springboard to explore more about Australian animals.

It’s a lovely reminder that books don’t need to be complicated to be meaningful.
