What a night! ✨ Thank you to everyone who came along to our Soiree in the Hangar, presented by RealWay Bundaberg, for an evening of live auctions, raffles and dancing!

The Wide Bay-Burnett community continues to blow us away with their support for our Bundaberg Base. Together you helped raise more than $120,000, a new record for this event!

These invaluable funds will help us continue to deliver our First Minutes Matter emergency trauma training across the Wide Bay-Burnett region and beyond.

Jump on board for a ferry flight 🚁

Ferry flights allow us to swap our aircraft across our bases so we can carry out scheduled maintenance checks, whilst still keeping our services online and fully operational. This ferry flight was to our Bundaberg base and back to Archerfield.

Ferry flights are all part of the careful planning that happens behind the scenes to ensure safety, reliability, and uninterrupted service for our community 🛠️

“The pain was indescribable. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I thought I was going to die.”

Ava, 15, was left with severe internal injuries after a horse flung her onto a steel fence. She was in intense pain and hundreds of kilometres from the specialist care she needed.

The moment was life changing for Ava’s parents.

“It was crucial to get Ava into a chopper and to QCH,” Michael said. “The ICU unit they have, you can't get that in an ambulance.”

Thanks to the care our team provided on the ground and in the air, Ava got the chance to recover. She is now back in the saddle.

“I'm very, very grateful to LifeFlight,” Gina said. “They're saving lives. As a mum, I think the service is hugely important – Ava's our only child.”

“Without the amazing people who work at LifeFlight, there would be a whole heap of broken families."
