WATER WARRIORS | SHERREE 💙🌊

Finding her way back to herself through the water… while bringing her kids along for the journey.

Sherree has always loved the water, but after becoming a mum, like so many women, she found herself putting everyone else first.

After two pregnancies, back pain and some pretty serious baby blues, Bub & Me Aqua Active became a game changer. 💙

It got her out of the house, moving her body, lifting those endorphins and connecting with new friends — all while Rose & Thomas were right there beside her, playing, learning and developing their own love of the water. 🌊

And the journey didn’t stop there…

Sherree progressed into Gentle Adult Swim Squad, building her swimming skills, strength and fitness — which has now flowed into running and lifting weights too! 🙌

Her biggest achievement?
CONSISTENCY!

Less back pain.
More strength.
More confidence.
More energy.
And in Sherree’s words…
“MORE SMILING!”

And Rose & Thomas are watching Mum every step of the way — seeing her active, happy and loving the water.

Her son now regularly asks:
“Are we going to swimming tomorrow morning?”
And the answer is usually… YES! 😂🌊

Sherree’s advice to another parent thinking about getting back in the water?

A massive CONGRATULATIONS & WELCOME to our newest Certified Bub & Me Aqua Active Instructor Kim!

With an incredible 17 years in the aquatic industry, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as a Swim Teacher, Lifeguard, Access & Inclusion Coordinator, Aqua Exercise Instructor and aquatic educator.

But what really shines through is her passion for making sure EVERYONE has access to the water — for fun, fitness and safety. 💙

In her own words:
"At the heart of everything I do is a deep belief that everyone deserves access to water, for fun, for fitness, for safety."

Her ultimate goal? To contribute in every way she can towards a zero drowning rate.

And now she can add Certified Bub & Me Aqua Active Instructor to her aquatic journey! 🙌💦

🦆 And we HAVE to mention the rubber ducks!

She has a slight obsession with them — including a rubber duck tattoo! For her, it’s a reminder to love what you do, not take life too seriously, and remember that small changes, attitudes and efforts can create ripples.

How perfectly does that fit with everything we believe about the power of the water?! 🌊

Outside the pool, you’ll find her behind a camera 📷, crafting, planning holidays around zoos and wildlife parks, or hanging out with her two dogs, cat and bird.

🌊 WATER WARRIORS | Wayne McKewen 💙

The man who refused to let the waves stop... and made sure they never would for anyone else!

Some people change their own lives.

Others change the lives of thousands.

Wayne McKewen is one of those people. 💙

As a young Australian surfing champion, Wayne's future was bright... until 1979, when he suddenly lost control of his body during a national surfing final.

Diagnosed with transverse myelitis, Wayne was told he'd be lucky to walk again, let alone surf.

But Wayne refused to give up.

Within a year, he was back competing on the world stage! 🌊

That frightening experience never left him.

Years later, while volunteering at disabled surfing days, Wayne saw people absolutely LOVING the ocean... but the surfboards weren't designed for their needs.

People were slipping off, being thrown forward and missing out on the freedom and joy that surfing should bring.

Wayne knew there had to be a better way.

After FOUR YEARS of designing, testing and refining, the LIFECRAFT was born! 💙

Not just a surfboard...

A purpose-built craft designed to make surfing more accessible, supportive and enjoyable for people of all abilities.

Wayne didn't just create a surf craft.

He created OPPORTUNITY.
He created CONFIDENCE.
He created BELONGING.

And he helped make the ocean accessible to people who may never have imagined themselves riding a wave.

At All In Aqua, we are incredibly fortunate to share Wayne's Lifecraft with our amazing participants.

Every smile... Every first wave... Every family memory... Every new SALTY WATER WARRIOR...

All made possible because one incredible human refused to accept that it couldn't be done. 💙

🌊 THUMBS UP THURSDAY – Accessible Sand & Sea 👍

WE DID IT… WE SWAM!!! 🌊💙🙌
Well… if you were anywhere near the Gold Coast beaches today, you KNOW it was windy and cold! 😂💨

And I have to admit…
We were BOTH looking at each other, casually trying to talk the other one out of it! 😂
"Geez, it's pretty windy..."
"Yeahhhh… it really is..."
"The water looks a bit wild..." 😂
We were both secretly waiting for the other one to say “Maybe not today?”
But neither of us gave in! 😂💙

We watched the ocean.
We assessed the conditions.
We found our little window of opportunity…

RIGHTO… WE’RE DOING IT!!!
And WE DID! 🌊🙌

Today wasn't about being brave for the sake of it. Water confidence is about learning to read the ocean, respect it, understand the conditions and know when to say YES — and when to say NOT TODAY.

Today was a YES! 👍💙

And when we came back out?
ABSOLUTELY SPLENDIFEROUS!!! 😂🌊
