A rare color photograph taken near Granville, Wv at the main portals at Christopher Coal Co.'s Arkwright #1 Mine and Osage Mine prior to Consolidated Coal ownership. One of the largest underground mine motors built at the time (GE 50 tonner). This is near the University Town Center shopping area now.
