The chapter has officially begun! Hamish took to Friday 20 Feb for his series debut, proving he’s ready to mix it with the best.

Highlights from Day 1: ⏱️ Practice 1: Logged a mammoth 23 laps to dial in the Mustang, finishing P15 while focusing strictly on race pace. 🚀

Practice 2: Showed blistering speed early, jumping straight into the Top 5 before a minor lock-up at Turn 8 shifted the strategy.

The learning curve is steep, but the pace is there. We’ve got a clear direction for qualifying tomorrow!

🏎️ The Road to Supercars…

The 🐈‍⬛ is well and truely out of the 💼 Hamish Fitzsimmons is officially joining the 2026 Dunlop Super2 grid with Masterton Motorsports! 🏁

After solid test day at SMP, the deal is done. Hamish graduates from Porsche Carrera Cup for the raw power of the Masterton-run, ex-Tickford Ford Mustang.
Transition:
• Old School Muscle: Moving from LHD paddle-shift to RHD sequential floor shift.

• Aero: “I was surprised by the amount of aero the Super2 car has compared to the 992,” says Hamish.

• Team: Guided by the legendary engineer Adam DeBorre and Team Principal James Masterton.

Day 2: The Curse of the Red Flag Strikes Again! 🫠
Race 2, Round 8, Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup 🇦🇺
Another day, another incredibly short race at the .gf

After getting promoted to P14 on the grid for Race 2, we had a lightning-fast start and made up two spots by the end of the first lap the #16 992 was flying in the sunshine! ☀️

But the notorious Adelaide street circuit bit back. An incident at T13 brought out the red flag, and the race was declared after effectively one flying lap.

We crossed the line in P10, which is a great result from P14, but it’s hard not to feel frustrated when the car is that quick under green. We had so much more to give!💪

We are aiming for a full, clean run tomorrow for the FINAL race of the 2025 season! Let’s end the year on a high. 🙏

Day 1 at Adelaide bp Grand Final, Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup🇦🇺 is in the books, and we’ve made solid gains around this challenging street circuit.

Started the day on a cold, drying track with P13 in Practice 1. The times came down every single lap—exactly what we needed for my first time here! 💪

Practice 2 saw us move up to P11, but traffic and an over-ambitious dive into Turn 9 on the final hot lap meant we couldn’t fully unlock the Top 10 pace we know we have.

Focus now shifts to the engineer-driver debrief to dial in the setup. We’re right on the cusp of the sharp end and ready to attack tomorrow’s Qualifying session.

We’re hitting the streets of Adelaide for the bp Grand Final this weekend, November 27-30!

After the Gold Coast weekend was cut short, the car is repaired, the slate is wiped clean, and the focus is 100% on ending our rookie year in the Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup 2025 on a high.

Adelaide is a circuit for the committed: high-speed straights and infamous corners like Turn 8 demand absolute precision against those concrete walls 🧱.

We’re ready to put everything on the line to master this track.
