Project Update | ELC & Gym Morayfield

The project continues to progress positively, with both the Early Learning Centre and Gym reaching key stages of completion as this community-focused development moves closer to reality.

A key transition from construction to occupation is now underway, with the Gym progressing through tenancy fit-out and the ELC entering its next phase of finishes and fix-out works.

Beyond the buildings, focus is increasingly turning to the broader site experience. Outbuilding works are underway, while soft landscaping has commenced, beginning to shape the connections between built form and public realm.

Project Update | Lyra, Chermside

Progress continues to build at Lyra, with the project advancing steadily and key structural milestones being achieved on site.

The completion of the Level 2 slab represents another important step forward, with vertical elements already underway as the next stage of the structure begins to take form. It’s great to see the development coming together as each phase is delivered.

With Level 3 works now approaching, momentum continues to build. Thank you to our team and partners for their hard work and commitment in driving the project forward.

Project Update | StoreLocal Redland Bay

Strong progress continues on site, with the past month marking another key milestone across multiple levels of the build.

Structural works are advancing well, with major pours completed and core elements taking shape. At ground level, early services and fit-off activities are now underway, positioning the project strongly for the next phase.

Last Friday marked the final day of the 2026 BEYOND Cycling Challenge — 750km, five days, and over 12,000 metres of elevation.

This ride is about supporting TRACTION For Young People and the work they do every day with young people who need support at a critical point in their lives. Through hands-on programs and consistent mentoring, TRACTION helps build confidence, practical skills and a sense of direction.

Checkpoint Constructions was a proud Silver Sponsor of the MGD/Jones Day team, with our very own Craig Petersen taking on the challenge firsthand alongside an inspiring and committed group of riders and organisers - contributing to something that delivers real, lasting impact.

The fundraising total is now closing in on the $900,000 goal, with donations still open. Every contribution helps extend the reach of TRACTION’s programs and the number of young people they can support.
