Behind every calm, clear experience at Resolve - there's a team and a system built to make it that way. Investing in our operations serves our clients, while giving our team the clarity and space to do their best work.

Late last year, we were proud to see Courtney named Legal Operations Professional of the Year 2025 at the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards.

Her latest blog reflects on her evolving role in our team, and the nature of operations in our industry.

"While receiving the award was incredibly meaningful, it also felt like a reflection of something much bigger than an individual achievement. It represents the work we are doing at Resolve to rethink what legal operations can and should look like.

Legal operations is often invisible when it is working well. But when done right, it shapes everything - from how a team performs to how a client feels."

When the operations are right, clients and the team can feel it.

Because not all "training" is created equal. And not all work trips make you stop and truly reconsider things.

Earlier this month Rose, Sophie, Ella and Courtney travelled to Nepal for a 10 day, truly immersive leadership experience.

"It was a journey of perspective. We spent time with village people that live simply and smile proudly. We heard from pioneers who with nothing, built empires. We met founders of organisations who showed us the impact you can make on broken systems and communities in need from having a purpose and showing grit. We learned how stillness creates calm.

While immersed in the stillness of nature we questioned ourselves in ways you can only do when you have the space to allow it. My self leadership lessons found me questioning why do I go so fast? Why do I hustle? What am I actually chasing? I didn't have simple answers. But I had space to ask the questions. And that felt like the most valuable thing." - Rose

We're already thinking about 2027.

If you're wanting a career with purpose, that allows you the opportunity to develop yourself in creative and unique ways, you want to work for a unique and modern business. Call us. There's a career here for you.

And if you a business owner or a professional looking for a reset, a genuinely different approach to leadership we couldn't recommend this program more.

If this is the kind of thing you've always dreamt of doing (but always found a reason not to) comment "Nepal" and we'll connect you to the organisers so you can join in 2027. Likely we will see you there!

This week, we're celebrating two promotions, Lucy to Senior Solicitor and Reena to Accounts Receivable & Finance Operations Coordinator. Two incredible team members who're helping us redefine Modern Family Law.

Lucy Armfield → Senior Solicitor
Nearly six years ago, Lucy joined Resolve as a Law Clerk. Today, she steps into the Senior Solicitor role. Lucy brings calm, capability and genuine care to everything she does. For Resolve, this progression strengthens our senior legal capability and supports our ability to scale with confidence - it's the kind of growth that moves the whole firm forward.

Reena Labrador → Accounts Receivable & Finance Operations Coordinator
Four years in, Reena continues to grow alongside us. Her new role - created specifically to match her expanding capability - reflects our commitment to building a finance function that keeps pace with the firm, and to recognising each individuals' expertise.

Congratulations Lucy and Reena, we're proud to have you on our team.

A verbal agreement between separating parties is great. Until it isn't.

Formalising your settlement legally is what makes it enforceable, and what protects you both long term.

Resolve has been named #15 in the BDO Fast Movers Top 25!

The program recognises SA's fastest-growing and most innovative small to medium businesses. To be included in this list shows real momentum. For us, its a reflection of not just our numbers but our team - people that genuinely believe in a better way of doing things.

At Resolve, we set out to redefine what modern family law looks and feels like. To put people first. To lead with clarity, strategy, and humanity. Being recognised alongside some of SA's most dynamic businesses is something we don't take lightly, it's a reminder that doing things differently is possible. And worth it.

Thank you to BDO, to Rebecca for accepting on our behalf, and to every person in the Resolve team who keeps us moving forward.
