OdataLink

As the way Xero manages data egress continues to evolve, we’ve been working on how OdataLink can help customers manage their data usage efficiently.

Our approach is designed to provide a generous level of included usage for normal reporting while helping manage unusually high data consumption.

For most customers, there should be little to think about — but for larger or more data-intensive models, there are options available to manage additional usage.

It’s about keeping OdataLink transparent, sustainable and cost-effective as your reporting grows.

We’ve continued working behind the scenes to improve how OdataLink handles and delivers data.

Our latest optimisation work is focused on improving efficiency and performance, particularly as customers work with larger and more complex datasets.

The goal is simple: less waiting, smoother refreshes and a better reporting experience.

It’s all part of our ongoing work to make connecting your accounting data with Power BI and Excel as seamless as possible.

One of our recent OdataLink updates gives users more control over how their data stays up to date.

With Polling, OdataLink can regularly check for changes and help ensure your reporting reflects the latest available information, without unnecessary manual intervention.

It’s another small improvement designed to make your OdataLink → Power BI and Excel reporting workflow smoother and more reliable.
